Are we really getting upset over what-if scenarios?

Not really, but again live your dream :+1:

Nope. My argument was that it was a far fetched conclusion just for one related change. That change existing doesnt change the outcome, but please keep throwing things to the wall and hoping it sticks, without knowing how degrees of certainty work.

Also you are aware that this is a different thread right? Because you are going offtopic (shocker)

Ok but why would you do that? Things change through feedback, and an overwhelmingly negative feedback has a decent chance to improve the situation. If you just sit there and either quit, lick boots, or be hopeful for no reason, you’re just giving up the chance to improve things.

:joy:

That was your argument after the one where you said the change had nothing to do with the release date.

L

Are you aware that you were the one that started the comment about it? All I did was call you worse to debate than a wall

Is the release date still there ? Check.
Is the description of the pack still saying its October? Check.
Seems that you are ignoring things on purpose due to confirmation bias? Check.

Someone is #triggered.

Yep you definintely are. This ends here, no more replies from me. But please keep calling people names, that always gives a chuckle.

Hyphen can’t read and makes the same debunked argument again? Check.

If you think this is saving you more face than admitting you were wrong and you lost, you’re sadly mistaken.

As i said i understand constructive criticism but is that what you see here? Half the people are still saying its paywalled because they missed the free track of Bp post. The rest are all on hypotheticals about how long it will take, new players coming in and not having heroes etc…

With disengenous scenarios as well what if the guy doesnt have kariko and everyone reports them. After we all know they start a weekly thread on how they get two lucio mains who wont switch or dps who wont counter pharah etc…

As i said its kind of sad. If anything i dont agree with it being in the battle pass, but my only complaint is i need more info. I think its clear this info was not planned to release yet and its not crazy for that info to not be released either. This isnt a mom and pop shop where the kid runs their facebook page.

Thats a punch. You summed up basically at least 20 threads on the General Discussion right know.

Yeah if we all make up scenarios in our head , pure conjectures and act like its true and then we all get offended and complain about it, this just turns into a spam of memes and flamers that pile up on people that actually want to create a thread with constructive feedback.

One of the trolls, who literally created 2-3 threads with inflammatory content replied to me saying that “they truly care about the game, and I should be ashamed for not supporting the outrage”

Amazing.

I haven’t brought up any of these points in this thread or to you in any thread so how is this relevant? Because other people spread misinformation you can’t say the truth and ask for things to be improved?

I doubt people will get banned in a scenario like this, but I also doubt that there will never be a scenario in which a team loses because they don’t have acess to the right character.

I completely agree. They really should’ve included information about which tier the new character is on. However, since they haven’t, I can only assume that it’s because the truth would damage them any more. That’s not necessarily accurate information and I don’t act like it is. Everywhere that I’ve said this I’ve put either “think” or a synonym.

All that being said, I appreciate you trying to make this a discussion rather than just denying anything that doesn’t suit you with no arguments to back you up.

Mmmmmm misinformation! Every hypothetical scenario I’ve talked about I’ve stated to be merely hypothetical and I’ve backed up with my reasoning.

I gave reasons for my perspective. Do you have any?

I think that survey they sent out was just a market research thing. They know a $45 skin wouldn’t make nearly as much money as a $15 skin.

Literally the only misstep I’ve seen in monetization for OW1 was during the very first seasonal event, Summer Games 2016, where you couldn’t directly buy the event skins with the base OW tokens. You had to get lucky with loot boxes to get them. By the next event, though, tokens were an option. They fixed that quick. Then we got two more opportunities a year, every year, to use tokens to get the ones we missed for cheap. Furthest thing from predatory pricing I can think of in a PvP game.

Inference, reasoning, pattern/trend recognition, risk/reward balance, etc.

Getting more information when possible and reasonably obtainable is almost always the best option, however waiting until you have every possible bit of information is typically waiting too long.

Yes, some responses are over the top i.e. “YOU ARE THE WORST I HOPE YOU GET FIRED THE GAME IS DEAD”, but most of the “doom” conclusions people are coming to (for a game that comes out in less than a month) are based off of information and trends we’ve been seeing for years.

People see that things are moving in a direction they don’t like and they’re voicing their concerns. If Blizzard doesn’t alleviate those concerns then that’s on them, the producers of a product, not the consumer.

You guys do know that “R6 Siege” uses this same BP model right?
Not once has there been any issues with those “BP” or “Season pass” operators being game breaking if you dont own them…You all need to settle down…Sound like a bunch of toddlers who mommy wont buy them candy at the checkout

I get what you are saying but you know that this is a live service game. They can literally patch something and change it on the fly. That doesn’t apply here really.
If the hero is on level 50, they can literally patch it and switch it with the level 10 reward in less than 1 day.

“Some” ? I would say around 80% of current responses but ok, that is still covered by “some”, technically correct.

Seems good on paper, but if Blizzard had to address every concern and every complaint in the forums, they would literally need to increase their Community staff by 500% minimum.

We all want information and our concerns listened and solved, but when 100+ dudes are screaming every day or less, no one gets heard. Thats how it works :man_shrugging:

I don’t like the battle pass situation they created, but what’s much worse is that they don’t feel the need to come out and talk about it. Just the CM guy making a tweet after the leak that there is also a free grind and that they will talk about it ahead of time, while selling battle passes for MONTHS through the watchpoint pack, the game coming out in 3 weeks and they still don’t feel the need to explain how all this exactly works and plays out. This is terrible behavior.

Research what? An image and two twitter posts? That’s the real problem, there’s no actual information here.

Everyone is collectively freaking out over an incredibly small amount of information which doesn’t even begin to describe a fairly complicated system.

Personally, I’m mad at Blizzard because they haven’t communicated this concept well enough for me to know if I should be concerned or not. There are so many questions that need to be answered. Depending on the answers, this could be game-breaking or no big deal.

The people muddying the waters by posting worst-case scenarios as if they’re fact or misquoting the little information we do have are not helping the situation.

are you new to blizzard? stop coping

That doesnt change why people are frustrated. They dont want things to start terrible.

If 80% of the forums are in agreement that things look bad, then thay may be cause for concern.

not really. Many of the recent concerns are about few specific things.

No, not really. Aggregation and sentiment analysis on mass complaint data are things. In fact I used to do that at work.

Mark my words.

“switch to x hero”
“cant, I dont have them”
“wtf, noob”

This encounter will happen.

they make me think you’ve been asleep for the past 5 or so years.
blizzard is gone, all the original talent left and it’s just a name kept for marketing, but it’s basicslly one with activision.
jeff also left.

this is the company that pushed a remake of CTR as “no mtx, you can unlock all by playing, just like the old times!”
and then patched in mtx a month after release, after getting glowing reviews.

this is the “don’t you guys have phones?”, the “warcraft 3 reforged” the “we starved you for 3 years for next to nothing” and everything happening to blitzchung and sebyeolbe.
also, you know, the scandals that made A LOT of people walk out.

this is the company you are giving the benefit of the doubt
