Are we really getting upset over what-if scenarios?

So did you or did you not know about the fine print before you were informed?

Buddy, the date being a subject to change has an impact on the two statements above it. On the other hand, it doesn’t matter if the date is October 4th or December 4th - the fine print still applies and the date is still subject to change.

The Overwatch forums are a true test of patience. While I would love to discuss and debate about my favorite game on here, some people think it’s a personal attack if I don’t agree with them. However, it’s hard to act like I’m perfect too lol because there are times when I definitely get heated, and maybe I just happen to be the comment that makes someone respond in a way they normally would.

You’re not debating, you’re just spewing out wrong information and refusing to change it :man_shrugging:

AHAHAHAHAHAHAJAHAJAJJAHAHAHA

*leak about heroes behind bps from months ago
you: “they won’t put heroes behind a battlepass”

considering i’ve been right multiple times i guess “my feelings” are more informed than you think

btw at least be brave enough to answer to me directly.
are you a coward?

they definetely are

btw want a fact? ow2 is just a patch with good pr, not a sequel.
learn to recognize corporate trickery before it swallows youbwuole

Kindness is a gift you can give daily, and therapy does wonders if you ever want to consider it

Remember when people were saying not to get freaked out about the Roe v. Wade leak, it’s just a draft and not an actual decision or a vote by the justices?

Yeah… good times…

Ok, but you see how a video game is different than real-world issues, right? Like, are you going to openly compare a video game battle pass system to… checks notes human rights violations?

Kindness is reserved for those one respects. Your post was made 20 hours ago and you were on multiple occasions informed it contains wrong information. However, the blatantly wrong statement is just sitting there without any follow up, admission you were wrong, or a change. Doesn’t seem very respectable to me.

The thing thats so hard for me to grasp is that i payed 60$ yearssss ago. Got a ton of fun and entertainment out of that money. Where it goes from here i dont know and i understand as a fan constructive criticisms. But these posts are like a 30 year marriage with 3 kids involved levels of blowing up. Sky is falling, the barn is burning, the end is nye. It would be hilarious if it wasnt so sad.

here’s a game example
the battlepass thing was leaked months ago

people like hyphen where here calling us stupid because “it’s not confirmed”.

Out of those 6 years, you got 3 of semi steady content. After the ow2 announcement, everything dried up and we occasionally got a horrendous balance patch. All for saving the content for ow2. And now, said content is behind the battlepass.

Ok, this is going to be my last comment to you. As a gentle reminder, this is the Overwatch forums, and if me not commenting quickly enough to my post is enough justification for you to call me names then that sounds more like a personal issue.

Yeah but final fantasy 3 cost me 100$ and never got content. Still was an amazing game. gamers today i just cant relate. This game added a ton of stuff after release and ill be playing it again today *shrugs.

It’s been 20 hours… Not minutes.
Changing your mistake or even admitting it takes no more than a minute.

Nice pivot that means nothing. Me knowing that beforehand or not doesnt mean anything. Good try tho.

Damn I didnt think I actually had to explain semantics or the meaning of words to someone but here we go. Do you know what “Subject to change” means?
Dont wreck your brain, I am going to post you my quote:

Unless something happens in the future (which you or me can’t prove) the prior statements ( the Two that say its releasing on October) take PRIORITY my dude.
Again, degrees of certainty. Look it up because last time I told you, you clearly didnt do it.

If we are talking other games, let’s look at minecraft. Came out more than 10 years ago, cost 17 pounds and still gets updated way more than Overwatch - at no additional cost.

It does mean something because it proves you were arguing without doing research and then not admitting you were wrong.

For the last time. Disproving your point doesn’t mean I have to prove it will come out at a later date. Why? Because your whole argument was that the change isn’t related to the release date. Which it is and would’ve been something you would have known from the start if you had done your research. But please, do go on embarrassing yourself.

They aren’t comparable in terms of equality of injustice. They are equal in terms of “I TOLD YOU SO” after the fact when it’s too late for anything to be done about it. The mere fact of heroes being locked behind a battlepass in Overwatch is absolutely unacceptable.

The wait and see crowd are delusional.

OP has apparently never heard of an analogy.

And thats awesome for minecraft players. Elden ring ran me 60 as well. Not 10 years of content, amazing game. All im saying is the “tantrum” levels of reactions i see to overwatch, to apex, to almost any game now a days when something is disliked is so wildly over the top i cant relate. If overwatch 2 is not fun to me ill simply play something else. Not have an emotional breakdown over it.

Gears of war was one of my type games, they went rifle heavy in 2 drastically changing the core gameplay, i moved on. They did well. I did well. The omg sky falling nature of the 3000 threads posted yesterday is what im highlighting and the o so very personal nature of what those posters feel entitled to. Its laughably over the top, no?
