Are we ever nerfing pharah and mccree

Hi I’m a bad player in top 500 on all roles, I’m here to cry about how cree and pharah are not balanced at all and have been in need of a nerf for 27 centuries

once upon a time, some arab abusing pharah on playstation decided to move to PC, and decided that as long as he shoots from southern africa, he can still abuse pharah even against PC hitscan players. This said person now has 5 accounts in top 10 on DPS leaderboards every season, it is very much fun to play against this person

You could say that is just skill, which I’d agree with to a certain extend as he deeply communicates with his teammates any time he engages. However throughout time more and more people starting picking up Pharah, and top 500 has gotten more and more of these pharah players just shooting from a different country, doing 120 damage every hit. Hitscans have no chance of killing this pharah especially with the recent fall off nerf. You’d need to hit like 7 consecutive headshots on a pocketed pharah to kill her, even with Cree you’d have to reload before that.

It’s the most boring lame stuff every time I match against a pharah player. Alright that’s my crying about pharah. Also way to nerf would be like reload speed increase, less damage, perhaps less fuel. Something like that

Now for Cree, all I simply ask is for his HP to be put back to 200, he’s strong enough as is. I mean look this stuff really should not be some surprise or anything when you scroll through the top 500 leaderboards, there is so much mccree, it makes me want to die.

thanks for joining my tedtalk, i look forward to nothing

I agree with this post mostly, though I think mcree just needs a minor flash radius nerf (if he needs one which I’m not 100% sure on). I’d like to see pharah more independent, but less strong with a pocket of some sort.

if we’re talking about the flash, imo it needs to be re-worked. A flashbang does not paralyze you, it blinds you. Perhaps make it move you slower or; blind you.

They gave him the extra 25hp when his damage was dog + slow reload when no one played him. Now he has his damage back, yet the HP has stayed.

Huh? His damage is the same though aside from a FTH buff he got a few years back (around GOATs era). They reverted his rate of fire buff back to 0.5.

Na they definitely messed with his damage see logs in link, and yes, the rate of fire and reload. Which in layman terms increase his DPS, the faster you can shoot and reload, the more damage you output.

They definitely did, but that was before the 225hp. They reverted the ROF change:

They added 225 hp at the October 2020 patch. Reverted the ROF buff in august.

They did initially add it in June 2019 according to the wiki.

Also they reverted his reload buff recently.

Fan The Hammer (Secondary Fire)

  • Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree starts reloading) decreased from 0.75 to 0.3s.

Fan The Hammer (Secondary Fire)

  • Rate of fire increased by 15%.

Flashbang

  • Recovery time (the amount of time before McCree can fire after using the ability) decreased from 0.5 to 0.35s.

Combat Roll

  • Cooldown reduced from 8 to 6s.

Fan The Hammer (Secondary Fire)

  • Damage per bullet increased from 45 to 55.

Peacekeeper (Primary Fire)

  • Recovery time reduced from 0.5 to 0.42s.

That recovery time got reduced again like 1 patch later lol. But all these things added up give him waaaaay more damage than he used to have. His DPS used to be way lower, I wouldn’t say it’s crazy to take away his 25 extra HP if he has all of that extra. There’s a reason his pickrate is like 50% in top 500, he’s just an insanely OP hero.

Keep in mind these were to compensate for FTH going down to 45.
However it’s now at 50. Not really a huge deal though I could see it going down to 46 maybe. Either that or a flash nerf, not both. His winrate is still very low.

Not really a problem since he was underperforming at the time.

This was reverted as previously stated.

It was 55 for a bit then they nerfed it down to 50.

This was last season, but it’s died down a LOT recently. I had a look at t500 the other day and mcree was surprisingly not that common at the top. I think actually a lot of low GMs are still picking him because they aren’t as knowledgeable about the meta, so it boosts his GM overbuff stats.
