Are people using subtle aim assist bots?

I keep having matches with what I presume are smurf accounts cuz low ranking landing most of their shots, private profile etc. But one thing is bothering me and that’s with a lot of them their cursors move unusually slowly.

I’ll go back and look at the replays and you would think their mouse sensitivity is at 50, but some how are able to turn in every direction with near perfect aim without any mouse re-positioning lag(you know what I mean). The only thing is the aim reticle doesn’t snap. It just casually slides into place and bam, head shot on my friendly Widow behind pillar with moving platform in front of her and some how manages to arc the arrow perfectly to a 5 pixel gap.

But really as title says, are people using bots that are not nearly as obvious with their movements be just having very slow settings?

Idk I don’t see it.

Only see it when playing in 3800-4200 lobbies occasionally. They exist but not more than maybe once every 20 games. If you are seeing it more often than that, you’re doing the age old practice of haccusations to explain why you can’t compete at those levels.

Nah that’s about right it’s about 1 in every 20 but those others and can just toss up to being skilled. There are just those ones that just doesn’t make sense.

There has been a MASSIVE surge in Triggerbots lately. And pretty obvious ones at that. It’s not “hmm, that looked odd, must be hacks”, it’s “they fire literally any time their crosshair is on a target, and it’s blatantly obvious”.

What makes it worse is reporting them does muck all, so they just continue to use it because Blizzard’s anti cheat is borderline nonexistent, and I hesitate to believe someone actually looks at the footage when it’s reported.

I don’t believe that. Kabaji posts 2 videos of hackers and the haccusations start just like they do in any community when a popular streamer points a couple out. (even though this dude was intentionally sniping streamer games and almost NONE OF YOU ARE STREAMERS, meaning the ones with intent aren’t in your games.)

Until I start seeing them, and I play A LOT, they don’t exist on any scale large enough for me to say well that’s abnormal. A massive surge doesn’t reflect my experience. the only thing I HAVE seen a massive surge in is the haccusations, team mates saying " Ohh their widow is hacking " and the moment I watch a killcam she missed the lucio 5 times and then dinked me as a “eh close enough” shot.

I have no clue who you’re talking about is…
But sure bud, your experience trumps everyone elses because you play a lot lol. It’s not like there’s been multiple threads about it just in the last 24 hours.

It’s just us.

Yeahp, that adds up.

And my experience does trump alot of others considering I play at master/GM only. I don’t run into hackers any more than I did last year. Most people aren’t M/GM since it’s like 4% of the playerbase, meaning they won’t see much of any hacking, and any hacking they think they see is probably just a smurf thumping all over them, which is a separate problem entirely.

good lord, I meant that ironically. What a joke.

Unfortunately it’s also unironically true.

Looking back at the replay though it’s just flat out silly, this guy cant wall climb or side jump to save his life but has the near perfect shots, even if they are just body shots. Usually on the neck.

Well, BigSadPanda said it isn’t someone hacking, so it clearly isn’t, because he is totally absolutely GM.

I’m GM, you should watch me play hanzo, I’ll spend 5 seconds trying to climb a wall, no matter how good I get, I constantly fail the wallclimb. Happens dude.

I didn’t say they weren’t, just that the percieved uptick in hacking isn’t there. Hackers DO exist as I said 1 in 20 games which for me is one per 1-2 days. But that’s been that way for the past couple of years so it’s not “News”.

But would you say it is possible a subtle aim assist could be in use? I really don’t know how these things work so I just wana know if they can say toggle the speed of their aim and such.

The subtle aim assists generally are always noticable by the final moment where the cursor goes in a straight line to the head, where as people who flick at those speeds generally have a curve, nearly no one gets a perfectly straight line, and if it’s always a straight line, you can be relatively sure it’s a hack.

Another giveaway for people trying to mask it, is the cursor being closer or further from the person they are about to headshot than normal, most players put their cursor near the same distance away from the target before flicking because thats how their muscle memory works, but players who will put it 3 models away and one model away, you can be rightly suspicious.

And that was indeed the case. There was a moment where the hanzo got graved and he also got his ult up. Looked at my sigma in front of him cast ult, decides he wants a different target aims up and a and the arches stops and makes an immediate b line for my center torso behind a rock. It took a couple of views to see it but it did happen.

So he tried to shoot you through a rock? Or did I misunderstand >.>
Because minus the rock it sounds like their hanzo just decided to last ditch effort and shoot the first person he could see that wasn’t a tank and hopefully kill them.

He ulted through the stalagmite on 66 on the top bridge going to the building near the start. He didn’t have vision or sonic arrow on either unless he was just going by the sound.

Oh this was with his ULT.
Idk how you would hack with a hanzo ult outside of walls, him going on sound is also probable, and shooting into an area he thinks you will want to go to either zone you, or squash you in with it.

It’s hard to say hacks had anything to do with that.

Thats actualy prove nothing, people having good aim but terrible positioning and ability use in lower ranks was normal since start. They can out of nowhere hs everyone, but forget to not stay in straigh line of hog etc.

I say its just people who are more used to other fps titles mayby? WHo knows, but that happend a lot.

Sadly many hackers accusations are false, i dont say your are, but heck even i was called out for being hacker in multiple games and my aim is flat out trash. Its depends on perspective many times. Thats why im always need to look closely at someone to give any judgement. Like i report obvious once like widow turning around to kill invisible flanking sombra etc (without ult on)
