You can theoretically get it for free just by watching tons of OWL streams.
^There are a lot of people saying you can’t buy the lucio emote anymore, when you try to purchase it with tokens it doesn’t unlock
That will just be bad publicity for them.
Except if your country is one of the excluded ones like mine xD

How exactly did they manage to accidentally put something on sale with a specific prize related to it

Perhaps they thought about making it purchasable due to the amount of complaints and they tested it out, changed their minds and forgot to remove the price tag on the emote or something
False advertising. Whether it was meant to be purchasable in the first place or not, it should be now for all those who paid for it.
