2nd wave feminists are retired. They pointed out how Roe vs Wade was standing on stilts and could easily be overturned a decade before it actually happened. 3rd and 4th wave feminists just argued about petty, trifling gibberish on social media/twitter while women rights got eroded at home.
2nd Wave feminists did way more for feminism than 3rd and 4th wave feminism will ever do. Especially when 4th wave feminism actively advocates for policies that damage women rights like allowing trans women who were charged with SAing another woman into female prisons.

Did you even watch those two shows? Cause if you did you’d understand that one, both were representing lower class families. Not the same thing I even mentioned about Bill Cosby.
And clearly the two people liking your post blindly had no idea either. I can tell you I’ve seen most episodes from all those shows and neither Good Times, nor Red Fox represented Upper Middle Class Black families.
Edit because I didn’t add in specifically what I was talking about in my first post responding to you. My apologies about that. I said he was Successful, but what I was referring to was him being in a upper middle class bracket. Not the much lower representation that was shown in both Good Times and Sanford & Sons. If your idea of success is about how well the show did, then yeah. But that’s not what I’m talking about at all.

I’m sorry, its just a trope that I don’t like. I’m using it in my work as a way to show why its not always a great idea to date co-workers or rivals from my perspective. That doesn’t mean I’m going to ruin the relationship because I don’t like the trope; just saying its not always sunshine and rainbows to be in a relationship like that.

Hey, that’s a good point! That’s pretty much what I’ve been talking about all this time: people who talk about feminism and causes we we like, but they’re just in it to make a buck and FEEL like they’re doing something good without actually doing anything.
See, this is what I feel like we should be careful of. Its incredibly dangerous to allow these guys to run without someone willing to say “your words aren’t helping. actions would help”.

Male is a s*x (idk whether this is a bannable word, especially on these forums) not a gender. Someone can identify as a women while still having male parts. Cis is simply a modifier that explains that you identify as a man and have male parts.
Lol ok so if a character is part of a minor community that just gives him automatically better background, personality and actually represents smth? Soldier 76 is gay yet that is just a minuscule part of his whoooooooole character. People really be there out thinking that being given part in a minor group means high stand moral that everyone should try to archive and prioritize while creating and stablishing a character

That is great for Apex, congrats to them! However, if blizzard doesn’t want to add in a trans person I don’t think they should have to add one in. I feel like Blizzard already does a good job at representing a large amount of variation and walks of life with their iconic and memorable characters. My girlfriend is trans and she really likes Kiriko because of the connection to the Kitsune. Like it would be neat if Blizzard added a trans character but I hope that process comes naturally instead of “oh man they have one so we need one too”.
