All Adding 6v6 is going to do is ruin que times

My Support Ques are already 10 minutes plus every time. Now, I have to wait and find another tank(the least popular role in the game by far). Blizzard is going to try this experiment, and then remove it with a “I told you so.”

would you rather have a huge game balance issue or long q times

I highly doubt there would be qp and comp for both 5v5 and 6v6 and actually having consistent separate balance patches for both. As it would certainly hurt queues a lot to split the playerbase so much. My guess is at best 6v6 will come back as an option in arcade.

I think 5v5 OQ would be replaced by 6v6 whatever cause 5v5 OQ is a joke mode balance-wise anyway.

Also, it maybe better 6v6 balance as a default cause it is the most compatible with other arcade/event game modes. And 5v5 balance separately.

I mean you will have both with 6v6, tank combo’s kind of just lead to mirror match meta’s with little to no variation. Not even counterpicks to do meta combo’s covering basically all their weaknesses.

And that’s something that’s not going to change do to those heroes having mostly the same kits. PLus some! wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

…Did you even read about how they are implementing the experiment?

It’s not going to be RQ, it’s going to be role limits. So your queues will be much, much quicker (presumably).

Womp womp

I wonder why that is? surely nothing to do with 5v5

Hate to break to you, the queue times aren’t because there isn’t enough games, its because the matchmaker is working hard to put you in a 50/50 W/L scenario.

Tested this with my current account at damage queues for 5-7mins
Brand new account same time frame <1 min queues.

Why doesn’t it do the 50/50 W/L scenario for your brand new account?

It doesn’t because it doesn’t know if you’re going to mow people yet, play a while and it settles into the 50/50, queue times will become bigger and bigger as the pool of players it can match you to is smaller and smaller (depending on your elo I guess).

Whats more comedic is that this is also on quickplay.

X to doubt. As someone who played Overwatch 1.

Honestly, though? It might fix queue times for a while.
Then, it’ll balance out and people will play their preferred game mode.

That doesn’t make any sense. Why would the pool become smaller?

Are you saying that when you have a new account, it just disregards rank at all and just matches you with anyone that is online? (it doesn’t do this)

With a new account you are placed into the average ranking, which has the most players, which is why it’s quicker for you. I’m assuming your other account is on the very low end of MMR, which is why it takes longer for you to find matches. Because there are less games there.

^ this is incorrect

Even if it WAS “trying hard to match 50/50,” not enough games would be the reason queues are longer, lol.

Not sure how you managed to over complicate it, but its very simple, MMR is the reason for queue times more than what it was before.

What is “before?” In OW1? Because matchmaking is actually much, MUCH looser in OW2. MMR is much less of a reason now than it was before

ok

at least 20characters

This aint true at all, I climbed so high during double shield meta just by using dive and telling my team to go full dive. Winston Dva Genji Reaper Lucio and literally any other healer would bust through so many crappy players trying to emulate the meta.

I don’t give a thing of your impatience to go in que, 6v6 is better and finally tanks can begin to play their main tank and not goin rock paper scissor all the stupid match.

Nobody knows what plans they have for it. But, humans be humans and humans do love speculating and theorizing…

I sincerely hope 6v6 became again the main mode , 5v5 was a huge mistake

With the bad matching already present, the que times will be fine. Also if they balance the game properly, the que times will be fine. I played tank in OW1, but in OW2 I don’t want to touch it.
