there is an aimbotter in nearly 20% of ranked games from diamond-masters this season
How can you tell the difference between aimbot and good aim? In the play of the game?
I like the part of this post where you just pulled 20% straight out of your [Edited by Blizzard].

Evidence please? And getting killed with improbable shots is not evidence.
If it was, report, provide evidence or explanation in report and then avoid.
Report and record evidence. Geforce experience instant replay feature is good for this, you will never miss an opportunity to record cheater kill cam again. Upload video to youtube or another media platform and post the link in the report. Alternativly you can submit a report to https://us.blizzard.com/en-us/submit/hacks.html
just have to get their blizzard account number. You can usually find this on overbuff by matching their name, level and avatar.
aimbot is still pretty obvious.
they look like flick shots but they always flick to the same place but they look and feel like the user shoot+flick instead of flick+shoot
the hack basically flick when you press your left click and there is a TON of people that likes to use it on widow, hanzo and mccree due to the nature of the character
also really obvious it happens in game deciding critical moments
So you see this in the game highlights? Or your death cam?
death cam because most of the time potg involves dragon or some other activities that involves group wipe so it can be hard to catch
you can salvage game kind of by straight up calling out the hacker and people will and do start to pay attention and report so they tend to just soft throw to preserve account. (this is only for closet hackers)
the blatant ones just doesnt give a f
I believe Geforce Experience only works for Nvidea video cards.
Putting that aside, you should be recording most of your competitive matches for VOD reviewing. If you have a nvidea card that doesn’t support recording with shadowplay or OBS; then, try play tv (program, not website).
good positioning / game sense can also stop hackers from going unpunished mid-game; but, that’s more for the higher ranks.
also there are only a handful of characters that benefit from these hack without being obvious and that is
-widow (this is so common)
-hanzo (again very very common)
-mccree (kind of common but he still dies to dive tanks)
-genji (it is more of a scripting that allows him to rapid acquire target and allows rapid dash chains)
other hitscan characters require tracking and it would be too obvious
I hope people realize that death cam and POTG camera’s are not a 100% copy of events but an attempt to provide as exact of a replay as possible. I’m pretty sure this has been said by one of Blizzards staff before.
So take your POTG and death cams with a grain of salt.
If they were literally recordings, things like these wouldnt happen…
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t.
And what are you even talking about, lol.
I didn’t really see any aimbots last season, it was nice, I loved it. However, I’m starting to see suspicious aim trickling in once again like the OP has said. It has nothing to do with the accuracy, it’s the actual movement of the crosshair, it looks very bogus to experienced players.
I’ve noticed the same thing you have: cheaters tend to use natural aim at unimportant parts of the game so it will be more convincing that they aren’t cheating…but when the important time comes to hold the point they toggle and hit their headshots with that same strange looking crosshair movement.
If you see someone who moves their crosshair in a suspicious way then I would report it and let the blizz experts decide.
What im talking about is people calling out an aimbot based on movements they see in a POTG or kill cam.
I don’t think people realize that that kill cam or POTG scene are 100% identical to what actually happens. The game generates them on the fly, and are sometimes slightly inaccurate.
Not saying you can’t tell from watching one, but some people should take what they see from them with a grain of salt.
Simple, aimbots snap on the head. You can see that quite clearly if you understand how it works or have seen enough cheaters at work. I used to do it with CS 1.6, 15 years ago. So i can see it in a instant
I was asking if they saw it through death cams, or what. They can’t see stats anymore
I wonder if cheating makes them actually feel better? Because if I got a rank that I didn’t deserve by cheating, it would feel so pointless. Imagine how they feel when they lose? Can’t even win while cheating. I hate cheaters, they diminish the integrity of the game.
