Teenagers and young adults are actually the majority of higher ranks, due to the fact that your reflexes are at their best during teenage years and tend to slow down as you age

because most girls dont have interest in spending alot of their time improving at a video game, and kids are generally bad at everything because they are kids. and thats as a general, im not saying amazing females or kid players dont exist but as a whole, kids and females are worse at video games

Iām 16 and ive seriously never had any problem with voice chat / ingame toxicity because of my age, and mind you iāve peaked at 4100 rating and been through all the lower ranks so i think its just a bad excuse
Because this is a shooter. Shooters are one of the most male dominated genres in gaming.
Women usually dont grow up on shooters, and so dont have the experience ON AVERAGE as a male.
kids are younger therefore their motor skills and emotional maturity holds them back. Theyre more likely to rage, or cry when they dont get their way.
You can argue with me all you like, these are just facts. Of course their are exceptions, but exceptions are not the rule.

so i 6 stack more often than not. my fiance is on main tank peaked at ranked 200 Orisa, a 10y/o is on off-tank and ranked like 500 Dva according to OB. i have a gay friend on healer and weve climbed extremely well.
side note; the best Genjis players are under 16 in my experience.

i know that in higher ranks that the majority of girls (not all of them but a good chunk) abused mercy to climb that high back in moth meta, and can only hold it because how low-impact mercy is and how difficult it is to actually do something catastrophically wrong that can cost you the game. often times if they tried playing any other character they wouldnāt be able to play it at a high enough level, so theres a bad stigma around girl mercy players in higher ranks because if you get 2 of them on your team, you usually ended up losing.
and iāve never seen people hate on you for being a kid in high ranks, in fact, most of the time people will compliment you or think youāre really good at the game if you can rank up at a young age.
The thing about girlsā¦ in the most unsexist way possible hereā¦ most females (not all) donāt take the game AS seriously as males do.
There have been studies showing that gaming addiction is ridiculously more common among males. Which I believe translates to why most females donāt take the game as seriously.
I just believe that most females play the game for more of a social activity than a competitive one. Itās seems to be more natural for males to be more competitive.
Again, like you said, that DOES NOT justify any sort of sexist comments or behavior towards the grills.
In conclusion, I believe that is the source of the stereotype.

Iām 15 and I donāt ever talk in voice chat, and girls are not bad at the game. What is youre point exactly?
Female gamer here who, although not a kid anymore, did play multiplayer games when i was super young.
Hereās the thing, these stereotypes, although hurtful are based in truth. Kids have less experience, are generally speaking impatient (which is bad for tactical play) and often prone to tilting very easily. Women tend to be less competitive than men, and as such arenāt going to be found āaim trainingā and the like as frequently. These things obviously donāt apply to every kid, and every female, but they do hold true for a lot of people, myself included.
Iām not bad, persay. But I will probably never make it out of plat or past low diamond. Not because I couldnāt if I wanted to, but because I really just donāt care.

To be completely honest this is kind of what Iāve felt to be the case, certainly seems evident when you come across more females on more social games but play a super-competitive game like Counter-Strike and you will see one female maybe every 50 games in the mid-ranks. But since I donāt have any evidence to back up my observation or anything I figured it was better not to jump to conclusions.

It says something that only those of low/normal ranks do. I donāt know what it says, but it says something.
Toxicity is less prominent in higher ranks compared to mid ranks due to the fact the average high rank player understands that toxicity does nothing useful, doesnāt mean itās non-existent it just means itās less common. Also the people that are very toxic usually arenāt very good at the game anyway so they tend not to climb.
Iāve played with both and there not that terrible all the time. If Iām honestly speaking, while a majority of kids are easier to tilt they arenāt always that horrible if just bad on the ears, and girls recently have been shot calling and doing an amazing job at it, but I also donāt seek out if a person is a female or kid, I seek them out based on how they play.
Sry but I have to call this a lame SJW baiting thread. I had quite a few games with females and kids, and literally canāt remember a single time anybody calling them out for that.
