Yes it was. Stop trying to gaslight me. My queue times for tank have been less than a minute for years. They actually increased with OW2, but not by a lot. Enough though that I occasionally get support games now while that never happened in OW1.

Because he was only given a short time, and they agreed not to waste time on questions about things that won’t happen.

From what I seen of the stream before the interview started Flats told his community, which came up with the questions, that he was asked not to ask the 6v6 related questions. That Aaron was aware of the topic in the community, and to encourage Aaron to keep engaging with content creators Flats was going to respect their wishes. So, my guess is the censorship of questions about 6v6 was on Flats side as he was trying to be respectful.
However, I don’t take them requesting that it not be brought up one way or the other as we have all seen how the OW community reacts to statements the devs make. Me personally I think they are looking at maybe doing something with 6v6, but don’t want to make a statement on it. Because if they did and decided it just wasn’t good and never delivered it people in the community would ignore the maybe part of the statement and just attack for lying to the players. This has been a problem since Jeff he would say the team working on something and the community took it as gospel and would get upset if it wasn’t delivered for whatever reason they couldn’t.

If Aaron knows he can’t give an answer one way or the other, asking the question would just waste the limited time they have for the interview.
Blizzard probably asked Flats not to bring up 6v6 because they know no answer they give on it will be satisfactory. The 6v6 advocates won’t accept any answer other than 6v6 is coming back right this second. Even a response of 6v6 is “never coming back ever under any circumstances” would be met with excessive questions and what if statements.

It’s unreasonable not to have it in an arcade mode. People still want 6v6. Their wants are just as valid as yours. You have your cake, what’s wrong with asking for crumbs?

They reworked the entire game for 5v5, there is zero chance that they turn back

Then why not just outright say it? Have Flats ask “is 6v6 being discussed?” And if it’s not, just say no, and move on. End of story. Or if you don’t want to give a firm answer, say “we don’t a firm answer at this time.”
Censoring even asking about it is just goofy, whether that’s Blizzard, Flats, or Flats on behalf of Blizzard.
It’s more PR clownery from Blizzard. If they intend that 6v6 will never come back, then don’t dance around the answer, just say it, in public form, not hidden behind some non-answer or in a private summit or anything like that.

Anything useful or interesting came from that interview ? I mean, while I would love to have 6v6 back. Could you inform if there were anything actually productive from it, would avoid waste time looking for it or watching something pointless in my end.

can’t remember if it was this thread or another where I said it, but I’m honestly surprised they didn’t start doing stuff like this sooner. This is the company that basically ignored all the feedback on the Mercy rework & dumped it into a mega thread, after all. Guess things don’t really change
Mmm if Microsoft takes a stand and starts overseeing the brands they bought things might change but as of now there stance is to basically let the brands they bought di there own thing. Which is kinda why a few of there games fell through.
a simple way to put it
trying to brute force conversations with dev’s about something, on its own can prevent that thing from ever happening.
its ok to bring up 6v6 once or twice, but that has already happened. the dev team has already been asked about a return to 6v6 so they dont want to have that repeated because they have nothing new to say. they already told us 6v6 probably isnt happening a while back
so many in this thread think the best way to get what you want is to brute for it
to go into the conversation like
“SO WHY DONT YOU GO BACK TO 6v6??? ARE YOU STUPID???”
when that get you nowhere. now you are out of future conversations but also they are even less likely to revert back to 6v6 due to being so turned off by bit due to toxicity.
they arnt ignoring it, they already told us previously they had no plans to swap back to 6v6
streamers have had this conversation off stream and i think someone may of even had one on stream before
we know these conversations have happened and the devs do not want to go back to 6v6

people were told no but then decided to just ignore that and keep pushing. they dont need to repeat themselves, the silence around the subject should be deafening
its ok to want something, but you cant force someone to have a conversation they are not ready for
most of the community “does not feel strong” about 6v6, for instance i dont care and infact most either dont care or they like 5v5.
most players dont have the experience to say 6v6 is better because in their mind 6v6 would bring back double shield (even though thats unlikely)
people need to chill out on the 6v6 stuff, thats not happening anytime soon
they (the devs) know some players want it back, and they might change their mind if people stop acting like children
but if people keep doing this they’ll eventually scrap it entirely just so that they incentivizing people to act like children to get what they want.

Yeah, they’ve been asked and never gave an answer, so people keep asking till they drop their egos and actually listen to the playerbase for once.

It’s so fun as a tank to be swapping heroes in spawn playing chicken with the other tank, them literally swapping at the same time to counter your counter then you counter their counter so they counter your counter FUN GAMEPLAY RIGHT? This is optimal play btw in 5v5. So you either do that or you LOSE.
