Allow her to maintain her beam upon activation of Valk. That’s all. Nothing more.
As of right now, her beam detaches from her current beamed target, and because of this, she, 1. Loses out on some HPS
2. Can cause her teammates to die because she is trying to heal more people/heal at 60hps instead of 50
And I know this would be an outlier is transformation ultimates, but Junkrat is the only hero with explosives that doesn’t damage himself, so why can’t mercy have her own special thing in the form of this.
This has been around since the introduction of Valk and has never been fixed. This could genuinely save people from dying since she won’t have that .2 second down time on healing.
Fake news, I tested it and quick melee doesn’t affect valk transformation time, the only thing you can do is augment recoil timer if you do it too early.
I tested it with the workshop so there is a margin of error of 0.02 sec, so even if it does work it won’t do much and from a Programmation standpoint the devs wouldn’t go out of their way to do so
Edit: the valk as an activation time of 0.32 sec (with a margin of error of 0.01 this time) and the quick melee got 0.34 sec of recoil. I just wanted to add these stats to make it clear
You can test it by yourself with this code GTAS6
You can prefer beam target. When you are using this version you will Guardian Angel to whoever your beam is attached to.
The other version is does not prefer beam target. When you are using this version you will Guardian Angel to whoever is in front of you regardless of who your beam is attached to.
Right now you have to choose one or the other.
Make it so we can use BOTH!
I’ve always wanted this change, there’s been plenty of times I’m healing someone(usually a tank) and I realllly need to pop Valk to help my team but I literally can’t afford to stop healing that person for the 1 sec it takes for the Ult to activate.
