Regaurding connection issues for OCE players. I have tested and confirmed that the “Lost Connection” every 20 seconds and failure to connect to servers altogether are isolated to Telstra customers. I have confirmed this through the following:

  1. Tested on Telstra NBN: Connection issues.
  2. Tested on Telstra 4GX: Connection issues.
  3. Tested on Telstra NBN with Private Internet Access VPN: Successful connection.
  4. Tested on Vodafone 4G: Successful connection.

I have also confirmed this through multiple reports of the issue coming from Telstra connections. If you are experiencing issues on a non-Telstra connection, feel free to let me know.

To connect to the game servers, I recommend everybody either:

  1. Download a free VPN or enable their preferred VPN.
  2. Use a mobile network that isn’t Telstra.

ermm Telsrta? I’m connecting from South India and have the same problem. I doubt it’s Telsrta? I assume they’re your ISP?

I mean, I’m on East Coast US and I’ve never heard of telestra and it’s not in my tracert and I still can’t connect. So it’s not just Telestra…

This is the OCE issues. Unless they’re related, but there is also the chance that they are different issues. I also checked downdetector, the large majority of reports are Australia and East Coast. downdetector.com.au/status/overwatch/map/

there have been others saying they’re from americas as well with this problem, including me. and i can infact connect to europe, so it does seem to be an americas problem

is one of the updates going to be that we’ll be refunded the sr for being kicked during comp because of this problem?

Just a thought. What ISP are all the American players using? Since my testing shows it’s isolated to Telstra in Australia, I am just curious.

I am but I’m also running a VPN - plus I’d probably get a faster reply from Bliz than Telstra

let me play the game, love how blizzard just disregards oce servers. always so many problems on our servers.

same here for me as well! idk why this is happening at all! It just started today I can’t use any menus tho!

I can no longer even use any support sites from what i see only the forums . blizzard.com work for me. I live in egypt and got this issue yesterday. This from yesterday as i can no longer use looking glass either. This issue appeared to me yesterday when the. Before it I had a match where the servers appeared to be dying

Are you with Telstra? If so, this is actually Telstras fault, not Blizzards.
