Seen these, and it’s not luck. It’s not “you can’t hang”
It’s the matchmaker saying “You won too much, sorry. Now you get hard mode and will probably lose. Otherwise someone else out there has to, which isn’t fair.”

im once had 12% winrate at start of season xD my losestreaks usually happen when matchmaker puts me in asian server instead of EU
EU - Easy Mode, US - Normal Mode, Asia - Hard Mode… Plat in EU = Gold in Asia

What’s funny is this joke of a matchmaker will give you a massive losing streak, while you constantly put up great numbers (not that they mean everything) while trying to carry absolute bronze tier players.
It’s beyond ridiculous and needs to be fixed.
They won’t fix it. They want to control it, and they think this is just great. Forcing everyone through the crappiest games because they’re more interested in their fake 50% crap.
It’s like they promised the share holders that their matchmaker was worth the investment, so they have to FAKE it at all costs.

It’s absolutely maddening though. I’ve clawed my way up from Bronze to high Gold and now I’m having my head shoved into the bath, drowned back to Bronze again despite over-performing on my team. It’s miserable. In OW1 I got to Diamond on my own and I was way worse of a player then, it doesn’t make sense at all.

If the matchmaking worked good, it wouldn’t be like this if you are a decent player. With the matchmaking how it is, you can be gold 5, and get gold 5 teammates, or bronze 5 teammates. Then you can face diamond players while having bronze teammates. It goes both ways. It can be in your favor as well. If everyone in the lobby was actually gold, and if you were a diamond level player mechanically, you would be able to carry out of gold to diamond.
But if you keep facing diamond players mixed in with other ranks, you can’t compensate as much. Then it goes on and on. Last season, my first season playing OW, I climbed from B5 to G5. Once I got G5 and was still getting teammates with no clue, I just stopped. It ain’t worth it if you still get bronze teammates.

Recently i’ve had a 18 lose streak right after a 12 win streak. What did i expect after the first loss? I was like “whatever, i will do my best like always”. Yeah, the matches were unplayable.

Don’t worry even if you derank you still go against players way above your rank or way below it. It don’t even matter what rank you are ,they will still put you in masters and gm games even if you clearly don’t belong there

Ive given up playing tank and support. Just have a support game where I had fewest deaths, out healed the other team combined, out damged one of our dps. The total dps diff was 9k to 20k. That is a “gold” ranked game.
So many unwinnable games. They are incappable of balancing the dps role.
P.S. Symetra and Bastion need tuning.
Bastions max damage in turret is 15 damage per shot/30 shots per second for 6 seconds…thats 2700 damage in 6 seconds…no “yeah but…” will change the rediculousness of those numbers.

Having a platinum rank throws me to bronze. No matter how hard I try, we lose. I went down a lot in rank T_T

I can fee lyour pain. Matchmaking is an absolute joke.
The sad thing is that it was happening to me as well. Every single game I was playing against platinum to diamond while I was in silver 5.
So I started to throw, kept going solo in front of enemy not even shooting just keep dying for 3-5 games.
After that, miracle happens and I played against players at my rank and climbed to silver 1 (my real level approx silver1/gold 5) without any hassle.
What I have learned is that if you perform well, like I was doing (30-50kills while having 0-6 deaths) your mmr goes up without your rank going up, then you are forced to play against players out of your league. IF you try to play well against good players, like avoid dying a lot while your team mates are absolute potatoes, the matchmaking keeps giving you the same unfair games.
Now I understand some throwers are not throwing to play at lower ranks but it is vital to throw some games if your mmr is reasonable higher than your actual rank.

Crazy part is during those big loss streaks i often have the best or close to the best stats in every category in the lobby. Ill be like 40-3 with we 20k MIT and one of my dps will be 2-12 and the enemy tank will have 3k MIT.
Games i win rarely reach the extremes i see in my losses.
