Not at all, you are misinterpreting what I’m saying. My annoyance is fully justified by the fact that statements overexaggerating que times are in most cases false and the result of prejudice, ignorance or just hatred for the system. Those very few people who might actually be experiencing longer que’s are suffering the consequences of the actions from people who don’t but simply have a negative attitude towards the system for whatever reason.
It isn’t, again, a very small number of players might be experiencing it. My statement talks about the majority of players.
That is a matter of opinion. I think 5 minutes is still very much reasonable. If you want to play the most wanted role in the game you are going to have to wait a little bit for it. Or you can play QPC and not wait, you have both ways to play the game available.
I love 2-2-2, I have more games played this season then the last 3 or 4 combined.
The interesting part is that since the game came I most played tank/healer as I was more often flexing to fill and have a good group. I played some DPS but it was my least played role.
Now with 2-2-2, DPS is actually my most played role, even though I have to wait 5-7 minutes. I can play DPS and not have a comp with 3-4 DPS if I don’t flex. I still tank and heal a lot, but DPS is edging both roles a bit.
So personally 2-2-2 is the best thing to come to Overwatch in a very long time. I can play whatever role I want and still have a decent comp, maybe not always optimal but good enough to make each game decent.
If to be honest it actully broke more than fixed but because it broke it fixed? as weird as it sounds it happened… because the ranking system is so bad a lot of good players go down the ladder and because of that I actually had some really good team recinetly despite going down the ladder myself…
But overall I agree with you.
-You cant really flex in order to carry
-If someone leave the game, trolls or just doesnt do anything you cant replace him
-Since there are only 7-8 heroes in the tank/support category and the tank category is only made out of 4 different protection methods there are some situations you just having problems you can’t fix.
-Some compositions no longer work… Why should I run 2-2-2 against a Bastion comp instead of 3/4 dps? Why not going 0-3-3 against double snipers… Simple solutions that no longer exist for now existing problems…
-Queues are a disaster. I didn’t play a dps since the role queue came… It’s just impossible to try getting into a role with far more heroes , much easier to effect a game and much more different utilities in it…
Ha. I have too much free time. The crazy thing is I’ve really lost interest in OW as a game, but several of the responses here could be entries in the Blizzard Journal of Abnormal Psychology.
I hope so. I’m really feeling how Winston suffers from the current meta of things.
I realized my terror with Winston probably only came from 3 DPS. Now that it’s 2-2-2, it’s a game where I feel I’m really needing to practice, but I feel like there are some areas of improvement needed as well
I have a good time when I play, since now I have a bit more freedom and help when I play not-the-only-support or not-the-only-tank on the team.
I’m not happy that DPS have huge queue-times, but we can’t eat our cake and have it too (I hate the traditional phrase d:).
OP just has more value in smaller queue times, than some players do in having a fellow tank/support in their games. This is definitely a issue that changes with your perspective.
(that said, I think the queue times aren’t as extreme as most people say, for 80% of players. This is just from my own perspective because whenever I check queue times, the DPS time is at most estimated 6min in the middle of the night. Still terribad that high-rank DPS have literal 40 minute queues though. That’s a failure on the system, for sure)
