2-2-2 and leavers

Question - what happens in the case of a leaver when we have 2-2-2?

If it’s not possible for people to change roles does that mean we just have to wear it?

Why has backfill not been added to competitive yet? Or will it be added for 2-2-2?

Competitive needs backfill

Having a competitive mode without anything in place to help a team recover from a leaver/disconnect is an absolute travesty. Blizzard needs to add backfill to competitive. If someone leaves or disconnects from a match, then someone else can load in to take their place. Have a “reserves bench” system in place for if the disconnected player reconnects (thus allowing for them to avoid the leaver penalty) and give them the option to rejoin the match at the start of a new map. You do the same thing that happens when someone leaves in non-222.

You say “GG Go Next™” and take that L like a champ.

Yup. The timer is more than enough time to be able to tell if you have even the slimmest of chances of winning 5v6. If there’s a tiny chance I stay but am more than prepared to take that L on the chin. If it’s clearly going to be a roflstomp I’m out as soon as that timer hits zero and taking that L on the chin…but faster.
