Lets do it live! We need it! Tired of boring shoot the shield watch, where nobody dies.
1-3-2 is the future. Jeff said it is going to make the game less team reliant. It needs to happen. It’s more fun, it’s more chaotic, it’s not shield watch.
agreed. it makes the game fun again. much better than 222. it makes dps actually relevant again, removes the healing power creep and stops tanks from dictating the meta.
Eh, it’s a neat experiment and it’s nowhere near as much of a mess as I thought it would be, but the problem is that 3-2-1 doesn’t feel like Overwatch for me.
Less team reliant
–> supports have left the romm
Where is my heal? Why are my q times so long? Why does nobody wants to play support?
Yeah lets add to the tank crisis a support crisis, that’s how you kill a game
It’s also WAY more fun to watch.
Watching Emong and Seagull play - has been enjoyable with 1/3/2.
It’s definitely faster pace and doesn’t have the same “poke at choke” feel that traditional OW has had for the last few years. If the shield nerfs were trying to get rid of that feeling - 1/3/2 nukes it out of the water.
How about 1-2-2 and 2-2-2 at the same time?
Played like 5 games and Most of them were steamrolls (win or loss). Only one was actually a good and even match. So that’s a no from me.
Literally what every overwatch game is.
I gave 1-3-2 another try yesterday and disliked it even more than the first day. Games were just way too dominated by Widowmaker, and the mode seems to be on a map pool that removes some of her most dominant maps like Junkertown.
As a dps it felt frustrating not having much space to work with, and I was never on a team with a barrier, even when our team was getting obliterated by the enemy Widowmaker. Conversely a few of my wins I barely even saw the opponent because our team’s Widow was doing work and ending almost every fight before the other team got through the choke. The extremely choke oriented maps make it very frustrating to try to get through like Paris A with minimal tank protection.
As a support I didn’t like it either as people are constantly getting 1-shot or instantly bursted down. When that wasn’t happening it was trying to constantly fend off 3 of Gengi/Tracer/Doomfist/Sombra/Winston.
I gave it a fair shot and tried it out, didn’t like it, then tried again the next day to see if my initial impression held and still didn’t like it.
How about 1-2-2 and 2-2-2 at the same time?
how about we dump the overflow dPS into a DPS only filler game instead!
stop trying to throw tanks under the buss because DPS wont play anything else!
people willing to play unpopular roles should not be sacrificed to appease those that are inflexible and stubborn!
Also support aren’t enjoying this mode either!
This game is more of a MOBA/FPS than any typical FPS game. there are other games who are based on shooting and winning, even one person can win for the whole team. But not in this game.
Overwatch will lose its identity if it goes towards this path.
After all, it’s my opinion after playing the new 3-2-1 and I’d rather having no role queue than having that.
Go monkey???
Jeff said the feedback was predominantly negative ( and on the forums really polarizing ) so no it does not need to go live. First experiment failed try something else ( aka the scientific method )
That’s like saying because overwatch has guns, and another game has guns, they are the same, and overwatch has no identity.
Communists don’t like this.
Negative because the people that play this game are wack. Which is exactly why it needs to go 1-3-2, and become less team oriented. No more communism.
Winston’s weakness is facing Multiple dps from different angles alone. I’ll give you 3 guess how 1-3-2 seems to be played when there is only one maaaaaybe 2 reliable anchor tanks.
Actually that’s democracy and capitalism. Give your customers what they want and base it on the majority not on a few loud whiners.
30 seconds later
Why are DPS queue times so long? It can’t be that people don’t enjoy getting flanked with no peel, sniped with no counterplay, or just used as a punching bag for ult charge, right?
Forums are dominated by complainers. It’s the rules of review.
People who have a bad experience or opinion are 10x more likely to make a public statement about it than those with a positive one.
“Don’t X Hero”
“Nerf X Hero”
“Too many complainers” - literally a thread complaining about complaining.
That’s why you’ll see highly contested topics get so much more attention than the positive ones. There’s exceptions to the rule - but this is the general thumb.
And if a Dev posts in a thread - it’s almost always followed by 200 negative posts about whatever it is the dev was talking about, even if there are 100 posts praising their comments.
