You’re talking about the same people who said that Zarya was “too strong” in OW2 based on the video they watched: the one where we she was practically not played for more than a minute or two.

Given that even pro players are calling these things out, I’m slightly more hopeful.
It’s incredibly surprising that most of the community agrees at all levels. And when they do, it feels foolish to ignore them all. Even with the Zarya changes. But, you are right. They are very capable and willing to do that, it seems lol

Just the other day I lost 4 teammates to a quick Deadeye in the blink of an eye, the dude can pop it so fast it’s like an instant D.va bomb on steroids.
McCree is such a cheap bastard, jesus. Talk about removing any and all skill requirements for a hero - Hey Blizzard why don’t you give him Soldier’s heal station and Hammond’s insane movement while you’re at it, since apparently you love buffing the characters with already stupid and unfair kits! Make FTH not have a cooldown while you’re at it, that’d be ‘fair’ and ‘balanced’.

This just in- high skill cap heroes suck at low ranks.
I definitely encounter amazing tracers occasionally on PC, and moreso on console.
I don’t think any changes besides Moira’s are actually good for the game.
And tracer 100% abuses movement acceleration. She literally ADAD crouch spams everytime she wants to fire more than one clip at a hero.

True, but I have high doubts that they will actually listen. I’ve noticed that the Overwatch balance team is almost as tone-deaf as the League of Legends balance team: obligatory “We don’t think our newer champions have overloaded kits”.

You know they took away Brig’s CC in OW2 right?
There’s no stun, and you are locked into the bash animation. It’s going to be a death sentence at high ranks against certain heroes that will now have an opportunity to shoot you in the head after you are bashing in. And it only does 50 damage, far from deadly.

I know, they will soon realize that CC and strong peeling (from the second tank in this case) is what prevented extremely braindead bumrush strats and comps from being meta.
Give it a year, we’ll see CC return.

Brig and McCree are probably losing their stuns in OW2.
So it’s literally just “Shoot her more”.
I really can’t believe they even considered replacing Junkrat’s Steel Trap from a root to a slow in OW2, yet they keep Ana’s Sleep Dart relatively intact…?

As much as I would like to believe ineptitude, I feel like it’s done on purpose. Most likely for a reason that will backfire later.
Right? Why would they change Junkrat from stopping you dead when it’s really useful against heroes that are madly mobile like Doom and Hammond? It’s not even that good if they’re paying attention! And yet now it’s WORSE???
But being able to dead stop people is still in the game with sleep dart, so it’s clearly not an issue of them not wanting people to come to a full stop???
The lack of logic is abundant.

torb is gonna be so insane now
yall know torb was played in the finals of OWL right? Torb+ Mccree can be used instead of brig as an answer to a coordinated tracer/ball/dva/sombra dive. These torb buffs are big and will be really impactful on a hero who was already sleeper strong.
Torb will be doing MASSIVE work on ladder now. His otps already stable at 4500 for the past 2 years like akay will be pushing 4.7+. He’s literally top tier dps now

He’s going to be absurd, and it’s wild to me that Torb and Sym got a rework and she’s garbage and he’s being played so regularly with such wild success. Sym can work once in a blue moon but there are SO MANY good and easy ways to just shut her down that it’s absurd; Torb doesn’t have any ‘good counters’, at least not in the way she does. If you want to stop Sym you get a Winston, Pharah, Echo, Sombra. Torb has no hard counters that do to him what those heroes do to Sym; and now he’s getting buffed out the wazoo so that he can protect himself MORE while Sym still doesn’t even have her old personal shield that she desperately needs to survive even a single 1v1 fight right now.
I had no faith in their capability of balancing the game before but this is like… Impressively bad.

I’ve been very vocally against it, but part of me is always like “Well you don’t KNOW, there’s a chance it’ll be a lot better than you think,” because that’s just true, there is a literal chance I could be surprised.
But it’s like with each passing month they lose more talent and make more questionable choices that tell me they REALLY just… don’t… understand… the game. Like whoever made the game is long gone and whoever is making the choices NOW is making choices for a game that clearly isn’t Overwatch. It’s baffling.

I disagree that this is sym’s problem, imo they should just revert the damage nerf on her m2 or her turrets to improve her 1v1, not make her into some kind of duelist. She can already charge up and then flank and nuke backlines that aren’t lucio brig so. Don’t get me wrong she’s slightly underpowered rn, but if these torb changes bring double barrier back into the forefront, echo will get weaker and then sym will be looking really good again so I think just wait and see.
Completely agree that the torb buffs are totally bizarre tho like theyre such massive buffs and on such a random hero that doesn’t need it at all. He will be pretty dominant in high elo now and possibly even meta ladder-wide
