Because of the projectile speed, a headshot from hanzo (or mei) is not more difficult to land on tracer than a direct grenade impact. You are talking about a projectile that travels 25 meters/second. That is not an easy thing to hit a moving target with, let alone one that can easily teleport in response to seeing it mid air.
This change doesn’t focus solely on her dps side tho. The heal orb lingering more is so good.
If I pull out my gun as mercy does that make her a DPS?
It just feels like they’re like “uh…uh…shoot, we haven’t had an experimental in a while. Quick, give us your ideas really quick and let’s throw something up!” and these are the results.
The only one that seems thought-out was Moira’s and McCree’s.
Everything else is like…why. Why Junkrat’s changes as if close-up damage was a problem? Especially when he craps on tanks already lol. Like who??? approved??? that???

That rat buff is a tad scary. Whenever a hero hits that “one shot with Mercy” level it becomes a minor concern and this is no exception.
The dev team (specifically balance and hero design) is incompetent. Those are my thoughts.
Why do you keep buffing McCree? It’s literally the opposite of what he needs!
Why have you buffed Torb at all, and the most obnoxious part of his kit at that? He needed NOTHING changing.

Tracer is statistically overperforming and almost always has.
Hanzo at range when the target is aware of you is 100% luck. Landing a headshot is not worthy of winning any fight at any time. He melts tanks and anything that tries to dive him.

Now junk is somehow even worse at range in exchange for being even more map dependent and one-shotting the lowest HP hero in the game.
I’ll love watching the zero-movement acceleration abuser hero get punished by spam when these ridiculous changes ultimately go through anyway.

People often forget that it only takes a 2m speed increase to his tire for him to become a must-pick on quite a fair chunk of maps.
If the Dev’s want a stronger base-kit Junkrat, then his ultimate has to get nerfed/require more ult charge.
People don’t realize that Junkrat has became hard meta before with a slight tweak to his ult… And that’s for OWL, where they can shoot down a tire very quickly.
this is opposite of what the game needed. Torb needs to be able to spam his M1 less, not spam his M2 more. if they reduce total ammo count to 12 with this it’s fine (same number of M2 shots as live with this ammo consumption, less M1 spam).

I just imagine any form of damage amplification, primarily Zenyatta’s Discord orb or Mercy’s damage boost, to just destroy tanks with Junkrat now. lol.
Oh, and also love that they, yet again, did not increase his ultimate charge. I am maybe jumping the gun, but Junkrat was never meant to get consistent hits at long range or mid-range, and I cannot fathom that a lot of ranks experienced him doing this often. So he was always quite close-range as it was. Giving him even more damage means he would have his ultimate more often.

Oh, the dev team has proven over and over again their foresight with “when we give a hero more damage and do not dial up their ultimate cost, they get it far more frequently and it becomes problematic” is non-existent lol
None of this surprises me. And I think that’s what kinda stinks. It’s just like, I’d rather they not have put an experimental up. They did not learn the first four times this happened, and evidently they still have not learned that.

He has to be at least A-tier now in FFA. Four shots Hog, 1 shots Tracer, and more damage means its easier to confirm kill with mine. This gonna be funnn.
No she hasn’t. At nearly every rank short of GM, most Tracers are actually really bad, and she underperforms at almost every rank.
I never said I liked Hanzo’s design either.

…Wouldn’t it make more sense to advocate for Tracer nerfs instead of implementing a change to counter her that then results in everyone else getting demolished?
