I’ve always used Nydus even before Zagara’s first rework, when it was only ok and so very, very unpopular. Since then have seen it nerfed more times than I can recall.
But the best change would be more of a rebalance. Nerf the cd reduction vs non-Heroes to .25 or even 0. Then increase it to whatever’s balanced vs heroes or buff it some other way.
Thing is, even without the cd reduction Nydus Network gives incredible PvE tools to a hero that’s always great at pushing, plus some PvP tricks, like getting to faraway fights healthy.
Making it more PvP-oriented would be much healthier for Zagara and her enemies. She would have to earn her map domination, and be rewarded for taking advantage of her trait to launch as many attacks as possible, rather than mindlessly spamming her abilities while she autoattacks bricks. Not to mention some less-than-cooperative users of it…
Again, I’ve always loved Nydus in every iteration of it and don’t want Zag to lose anything from her identity. But ‘more pushing’ isn’t what makes Nydus special. Numbers alone never make a hero. Gameplay does.
