Dear whoever wrote the algorithm, it’s awful. It’s bad. It’s literal absolute garbage. Stop focusing on getting me the most useless assembly of players in 30 seconds or less, and focus on getting me a somewhat competent group of people in a relatively similar ELO in 2 minutes or less. It really can’t be that hard. Like it just can’t be.

People just don’t care in QM. To get even remotely decent teammates play draft modes like Unranked or Storm League (and even then it isn’t a guarantee).

It can be that hard. People have complained that 2 minutes queue time is too long back in Dec 2018.
Blizzard tried the better algorithm in the past.

its not the algorithm its the player base. there aren’t enough players because of how many they banned with false chat bans over stupid bs. my buddy got his and it was such a dumpster fire that they actually disabled appeals. a big reason I played this well 2 are I wanted to confirm what I heard because I grew up with blizzard games like they did and because I was looking for a multi to play.
world of tanks recently removed tking from their game because it was such a sht storm for them and they had the same wave of trolls demanding bans for false chat reports and other bs so im back to that now. same as this game is now unplayable world of tanks at the time was unplayable.

Also, as an avid QM player… what does it matter? The games are still “Balanced”, in a manner.
Sure, you can end up having 2 bronzes, 1 gold and 2 diamonds in your group.
But the opposing team is the same. Do you think that you are magically the only one with inferior teammates always? That it matches you with only bronze-silver and the enemy are all platinum+?
Why can’t you win against the bronzes easily and outplay the diamonds?

You’re assuming that everyone cancels out, but if my worst player is the carry and their worst player is the support then there’s a good chance that our team is going to lose based on damage alone. It’s never as simple as “your ELO averages out the same therefore it’s balanced”
That sentence says a lot. You have a lot of knowledge to learn my friend. Not every knowledge is transferable from LoL to HotS. I suggest focussing on improving yourself in the main time.
“Carry” doesn’t really mean anything in HotS because every role can carry the team in their own way. Few heroes such as Valla and Tracer are called “hyper carry”. However, don’t use “carry” often in HotS since it doesn’t have a in-game definition.
This wedseday i was playing a QM with a friend. We had a jaina whose account is level 20 and was overally bad and a butcher that was bronze 2. We had an average-to-decent Blaze.
I was playing deckard and my friend that rarely plays was playing deathwing.
Despite their badness so did we still win, because i was laying down good CC and ults and healing and was semi tanking.
My friend even completely fed one time as he landed on top of 5 enemies on an obj we were going to give despite me telling him not to.
Your excuse is nonsensical. I find it worse when the worst player on the team is a support. He’ll be more likely to fail on important healing, be slow and so on.

All you have to do is cancel the queue every 30 seconds and you get better matchmaking.

To play DW I decided to try QM.
I find that almost every match is 1vs9 or 9vs1.
It’s amazing how many people:
- has problems with the internet
- is new in HOTS
- stands afk
- not interested in the result of the match “it’s just QM, take it easy”
This is so good and true at the same time
