Hello! I’m here in need of Xul counters, who counters Xul the best etc.
I know that standing and trading with him won’t work because well that has never worked and right now he’s kinda strong but not like super super op, there’s always a work around.
The bone prison + skeleton things is hard as hell to dodge when you’re a melee hero but i try my best 
Any particular heroes that frick (can’t say the bad bad word) Xul up ?
For melee, not really. Butcher can charge and make the root go away, illy can meta out and khar can sss out. All other melees will have issues. Your support needs cleanse or poke from range.
Forget valeeras r also works

Any blind and slow should do the trick on him, his effectiveness goes down if he can’t reach his target and attack.

Artanis. Johanna, Lili,Cassia. Possibly Auriel.
If you blind him when he uses his W, you negate 4 effects at once.
- No AoE damage
- No AA slow
- No damage reduction
- No lifegain.

if it’s draft i would say ban him. he’s a ban worthy after this rework cause he’s pretty strong now “not broken” because you can still counter him etc. however for a 1v1 you can go Artanis and at 10 you can pick blind ult then Xul won’t be so useful then / Rexxar to use Misha to stun him when he use root you / Yrel is pretty decent in solo lane specially if you know how to manage your mana you’ll always stay at full mana and health if you do./ or even Samuro to switch with mirror when he try to use bone prison on you. Cassia is good as well! and Leoric!

In the 4 man, blinds. In the solo lane, just draft something with really good waveclear who can double soak.
Ranged damage works well, just kite him to death.

I don’t think anyone clears or double soaks better than Xul though.

Yep, but you still have some decent heroes who can clear lanes and don’t be behind that much.
All you don’t wanna do is draft a solo laner that can’t clear lanes at all, like imperius, Thrall, Artanis, Varian…
Arthas
Heal debuff, blinds , attack speed debuff.
Poking him from afar.
Blinds, but he has a few good builds now that make it harder. Dmg lili, arthas, and artanis are much better picks now.
Sonya is a strong response to Xul.
A lot of her damage comes from her Abilities, so she is resistant to his W attack speed Slow compared to other Heroes.
She has an early game talent that negates his Root.
Whirlwind’s healing greatly benefits from having more targets, so his skeletons help her in teamfights.

murky is decent. Malthael can work. Gaz is okay. Deathwing I haven’t really faced in a lane yet, but it seems like he should be pretty easy for Xul to handle.
Plus anyone who outranges Xul can bully him back if you just poke patiently. Remember his skeletons almost guarantee that the wave will make it to you if you just hang out at your own gate. You’ll take some damage to your gate, but he’ll lose half his health with a valla or fenix poking away at him.
Just don’t even attack minions. Part of the challenge of Xul is that he is made to overextend, and he has some risk mitigation built into his kit to deal with that. If you are so aggressive that he doesn’t even need to overextend, then that risk mitigation makes him almost impossible to take down in a lane.

Malthael is decent against him, as while he can’t clear as fast, he has very strong self-sustain, and with On a Pale Horse at 1, can negate some of the advantage Xul has in wave clear. Late game, he can take the self-cleanse to dodge the root, and since Xul can live for quite a long time at low health if your front line wants to face tank him, Last Rites can come in very handy.

oh really you’re 99% certain he’ll get nerfed? that’s new to me actually. totally didn’t know that heroes that get reworked and then get higher winrate people start calling them OP heroes and end up getting nerfed thanks for info!
