he is at 59% winrate
no matter what you do someone else will always be on the top of the winrate %, and i at least find xul one of the few heroes in this game to be acceptable at a higher winrate due to him easily being kited and missing out on kills and not having good poke damage early and mid game, and his CC for a bruiser isn’t a stun.
if he was going to need another nerf it would be better to nerf his skeletons damage on structures damage and possible minions in lane by like 50% reduce damage on structures and minions in the lane while still staying the same on heroes and that will drop his winrate even more on % i mean look at ragnorous his winrate% is so high mostly due to lava wave the experience they can give to their team for pushing.
Nerf his poison nova the dmg is too much

Win rate must also be combined with pick rate, high pick+win rate = bad thing (like release deathwing) to see whether the hero is balanced or not.
Probius has up to 60% depending on the week, but he has a measly 1% or less pick ratio, he is widely considered perfectly balanced.

94% popularity and 60% winrate so far. That just means he is in for another nerf. Mostly his poison nova ult and other talents that still overperform.

I can see his poison nova but does he even have over performing talents?

his poison nova is one of the easiest ults in the game that you can avoid getting hit by it. too slow and being a bit far away from him makes it even easier to dodge it and not get poisoned

His other ult has higher pick and win rate than Poison Nova. All of his builds are overperforming, so the nerf is needed and likely to be generic again, e.g. health / attack / regen
So…if we consider that xul was a bad hero before which he kinda was outside of 5 morons stacking in W.
You mean we now have to nerf his health which already is at pre rework level and his talents that have been nerfed because skeleton explode?
Which would make him…worse than pre rework?
Lmfao did i not predicted this?

Nope, all his talents from traits are bad need buff, the only build that is op, is the W, that need nerfs.
The Q build is Ok, but not that great. They can nerf the W build, and buff his trait talents.

Yea i honestly am not surprised that people are asking for nerfs for it. 90% of the time when i play xul the enemy just groups up in a circle around me at melee range and all get hit by it. I think its fine rn and any nerfs will just make his other ultimate at mustpick.
He needs nerfs to talents post 10 imo. He isnt a threat till 7 and doesn’t become oppressive till 13

It’s easily dodged though.
Not of you are right next to him. There are factors like his Root (or any cc) then poisoned nova ult right next to him. Melee suffers the most were as range has time to react
I would be cautious nerfing his cursed strikes build. It’s the only build that gives him strong team fight power and the only talents that help him take camps effectively. I would agree it need some kind of nerf but I’m not sure how they can do that without killing the build entirely. Maybe a minor nerf to the cleave range? That would make him only effective in melee range. I’ve seen him damaging ranged assassins behind his melee target that should be out of range.
Max speed increase reduced from 75% to 60%, and Weaken on lv16 reduced from 40% enemy damage reduction to 30%.
Just small steps to make the build a bit less obscene.
Weaken, especially, is incredibly powerful, if you take into account the fact even touching one of his skeletons after that talent is picked, will reduce your damage output by nearly half for a long time.
That talent might as well read “grant your team 40% armor any time you or your skeletons touch enemy heroes”. Just one more reason why his winrate is what it is despite nerfs.

I did not played for a long time, did Xul got a buff/rework recently that now we need to nerf him?

Huge buffs, read patch note or see stats. https://heroesprofile.com/Global/Hero/
He was closer to 70% but was brought down by nerfs, but he is still not okay.
Oh boy, I will make sure to give him another go then!
Before I found him to be quite powerful and balanced hero. I’m surprised that he was reworked. He wasn’t for my tastes though, long CD, weakish ultimates and weak storm talents in my eyes. One ultimate is to secure kills, another is to AoE while being in the midst of enemies, very unreliable ultimate as enemies often do not like to group up. I liked his ability which makes him attack really fast, that build was sick! His root is also amazing. Though, all of this somehow did not clicked with me and I just disliked him as a hero.
He is free wins if you give him a go now, until hard nerfs hit him just like Deathwing. As you see on heroesprofile, his last nerfs only dropped him from 65% to 59%.
But beware, you can pick him almost never in SL. He is always banned.
Why stop at 30% though? Is Xul the only hero with AoE damage reduction? I think 20-25% makes more sense since it also applies to skeletons. The real question is nering weaken all that’s necessary?
I’m trying hard to think about such a hero, the only one I can remember right now is Morales.
She has a grenade talent that reduces enemy damage input by a flat 30%. But considering how weak she is otherwise, that seems like an acceptable talent on her (plus the grenade has a fairly long cooldown).
But on Xul it’s 40% - and skeletons apply that debuff as well.
