So its been about one week and the flurry of xp threads has gone down quite a bit, as well as more and more people coming out to support the change.
Ive been spamming zag, have had alot of games where i get bullied out early on but stay focused on farming lanes with nydus around teamfighting at objectives.
Once the objectives start rolling, have caught up and surpassed in xp leading to a turn around and come back victory. Pretty cool.
I played a few games as sylvanas. She seems unimpacted by the changes.
But the inportant thing isnt my personal gameplay, its how it is effecting the flow of the match!
It certainly has seemed to slow down the pace of games as clearing a lane takes a few more seconds. Also, good teams are delaying the objective waiting for even numbers.
It has created less deathballs as people are reconigzing the importance of soak.
It seems to have made lane pressure more important. With players beginning to reconigze the importance of soak, they go to clear a big wave creating a numbers opportunity for the team with more map pressure.
The 5~ extra seconds it takes to clear each wave has seemed to make it easier to read the minimap and understand what opportunities you may have
Being able to read the minimap easier presents you with impactful choices! Do you counter soak and let your team 4v4 or do you push the 5v4 advantage?
Obviously these tactics were in play prior to the changes but now they are more obvious to the entire team.
Slower soakers arent getting spammed to help in teamfights because deathballers didnt see the enemy KT on the minimap for a split second as he flamestrikes a wave and moves on, arriving to the teamfight late, albeit earlier than their own soaker.
Tldr: its workingggg
