Wording on Trueshot Aura really messy now

Passive: Basic Attack damage increased by 30%.

Activate to reset the cooldown of Hunter’s Mark, increase the bonus of Trueshot Aura to 30% and apply it to other nearby allied Heroes for 5 seconds.

Specifically the “increase the bonus of Trueshot Aura to 30%” part.
It’s already a 30% bonus, so there IS no increase anymore.

Does it at least still work as intended?

It works as it’s written, so Tyrande gets +30% AA damage always and when activated all nearby Heroes get +30% AA damage for 5 seconds.

If it weren’t working I’d have probably posted in the Bug Report forums.

As is, it’s just oddly written, with the extra bit about increasing when there is no increase.

I wrote it in the general patchnotes just now but it seems that either the numbers in the notes are wrong or ingame, as her passive healing from AA/AA on HM is atm 1%/2% and not 2%/4%, but this is reflected in the ingame tooltips.
Something with her changelog seems rushed but they’ll fix it for sure.

I think it may be a bug.
If its supposed to work just like trueshot before thia patch then when activated you should be getting a total of 60% more AA damage.

Trueshot Aura

Cooldown: 45 seconds
Activate to reset the cooldown of Hunter’s Mark and grant 25% increased Basic Attack damage to nearby allied Heroes for 5 seconds.

Passive: Tyrande’s Basic Attack damage is increased by 15%.

This is almost certainly a typo or a miscommunication between the balance devs and whoever wrote the talent tooltips in-game.

What I suspect this talent is supposed to do is grant you 30% bonus attack damage passively, and then share that 30% bonus damage with your teammates when you activate it.
This is what happens when I tested it in-game, so I suspect this was the intended description.

The alternative is that activating Trueshot Aura grants an additional 30% attack damage, bring the total bonus damage up to 60%, and then sharing that total with your teammates.
I am fairly certain this is not the case, for two reasons.

  1. This would require two mistakes, both on the part of the balance devs and on the part of the tooltip author(s), which is less likely than merely a mistake by only the author(s).
  2. This would be absurdly OP. 30% bonus damage on someone like Zul’jin is already a lot, but 60%? That would be ungodly levels of brokenness.
