this is a bit from an article about how parents can get their kids away from a screen without the kid throwing a temper tantrum. It’s basically the standard outcome.https://offspring.lifehacker.com/how-to-end-your-kids-screen-time-without-a-meltdown-1834160813

Whenever you decide that screen-time should come to an end, take a moment to sit down next to your child and enter his world. Watch TV with him, or sit with him while he plays his game massacring aliens on the screen. This doesn’t have to be long, half a minute is enough. Just share his experience. Then, ask him a question about it.

How is this related to shotcalling?

Say you have an AFK team who isn’t doing anything useful, just kind of moving around the map, hitting some minions, you have two people helping the solo laner clear bot lane (and the sololaner clearly doesn’t need help)… Enemy team is piling on camp pressure… you know how it goes. They’re in the zone. They’re watching the TV of them playing a game instead of being WITH it, you know?

i wrote this on an alt a few weeks ago. it’s basically the same thing dudes

So if you wanna be the adult in the room who gets things done on the map, do it right. Be with your team. Don’t be against your team, be with your team. Mind body & soul. Otherwise your kids will resent you, and they have a statistically higher chance of sucking as people in addition to your bad relationship. That means you lose the game. the big game :frowning:
