Something bugged me suddenly. Why his haters and his fans, both are so sharp?
I mean somebody says “Grom next plz” and 500 haters are jumping on the fan like “no no, not Grom PLZ NO”. Are you guys are Night Elves from Ashenvale incident or smth? ;d
Or someone says “nO gRoM aLlOwEd!” and 500 fans are jumping on the hater.
I’m no longer playing HotS, it’s been almost 2 months since i quit. Grom was also my most wanted Hero when i was actively playing, so count me as the voice of Grom fans. I just want to know what this guy mean to you? Why you are so against it him being in the roster or why you want to see him in the roster badly?
i honestly never played wow or whatever game he’s in. but i don’t mind whatever hero get’s added to the game as long as it’s a hero everyone knows but not a hero like Qhira that turned out to be the most disliked hero ever~
Gromash is a badass. But we have enough wow warriors. I want more rogues and paladins

Grommash is a well-written character. He was impetuous and confident in his youth, he fought first and then he asked. He started the “slave” period of the orcs and he ended this period. I grew up with W3 and the heroes of this game. I loved books by Ch. Golden from the Warcraft universe. The favorite heroes are Thrall and Grommash, Thrall is already in the game, so I’m waiting for Grommash.
I wish he could use chaos to ignore armor.
I would love to see some form of sacrifice, such as jumping to the enemy for massive damage, but loss of strength or health.

Much of the hate and love I think, comes from Cata, MoP and WoD.
Blizz gave everyone extreme orc fatigue and some people were happy to see a faction that was just pure evil or close to it, respectively.

Warlords of Draenor World of Warcraft expansion is your answer.
Grom Hellscream was an interesting character through the warcraft series getting an heroic death at the end of the orc campaign on Warcraft 3 saving his race from the demon that corrupted it.
Then came warlords of draenor where he is a VERY unlikeable villain through the campaign along with a bunch of other orcs. After you foil his plans and kick the butts of his lackeys Gul´dan betrays him, take over the iron horde. Your raid finds him imprisoned in front of one of the bosses and then that cretin start to make threats to said boss while WE handle it, proceed to take his skull as a trophy after WE killed it and then after all of that when we defeat Archimond has the nerve to shout the infamous “Draenor is free” to our face like it wasnt all his fault in the first place !!!
I hate him so much that i dont want to see a spot wasted in that piece of crap ever! Blizzard denied me the chance to kill him in retribution from the miserable experience that was warlords of draenor and worst, made we act like FRIENDS?!?!
Gah even remembering make me angry. The little consolation i got is that in battle for azeroth future Yrell got the chance to kill the cretin (proving to me the alternate draenei are probably on the right side again), but i digress.
Thats why lot of people hate him.
The ones who love him cling to the good and well written character he was in the RTS era

People often said that “Grommash is a badass warrior” but that is simply not true: he was just a very skilled Orc warrior. On the other side he was so stupid to drink the blood of Mannorath twice.
His last sacrifice could just be avoided if he was not an idiot in the first place.
If another Orc warrior should be ever added to the Nexus, Broxxigar the Red deserved that spot far more than Grom.

As a Grom Hellscream fan, i agree with you. I hated WoD version of him aswell. His pork-like appearance, his voice, his personality… he was an epic fail but hating him would be unfair to real MU Grom since WoD one was a made-up creature by a Bronze Dragon. Real Grom in main timeline was a badass.

He was top tier warrior, even Fenris said that in Beyond the Dark Portal novel as he is the BEST of his time and his time included Broxigar, Varok, Orgrim, Blackhand etc.
And no, Broxigar was a shtboring character and actual average warrior. Even Varo’then defeated and almost killed him in a fair duel.
Please tell me how Grom, that needed the blood of Mannorath to kill Cenarius, could be a better warrior than Broxxigar, who jump onto Argus alone (the Legion home world) and killed so many demons that he was standing on an hill made of their bodies. And he also forced Sargeras himself to go out and face him (you know, that guy so big to stab a planet with his sword).
And don’t forget that before being strike dead by Sargeras, Broxxigar permanently wounded him.
But I’m sure that Grom, who damned the whole Orc race twice and needed demonic boost to kill a demigod, was a better warrior.

Yes, but WoD was just too much.
That “draenor is free” would only be acceptable if Yrell proceeded to break his skull with her hammer and Kadghar incinerating the remains

I don’t hate em, I just don’t get some of these stupid threads with these weird bias views!!! 
Well read Rise of the Horde and Beyond the Dark Portal where it explains how Grom fights and how skillful he is and read Sunwell Trilogy where it shows Brox is nothing without axe of Cenarius. Even with the axe. As i stated earlier, Varo’then, an average +/- Night Elf warrior defeated him in single combat like boss while Grom was cutting humans in half from shoulder to hip.
Btw, Brox couldn’t kill Cenarius. Brox wounded Sargeras with the axe made by Cenarius and Grom killed the same Cenarius crafted that axe which made Brox somewhat good warrior.

With the exception that Borxxigar was the only survivor of the Orc camp placed to keep Alterac Pass from the invading demons army. He resisted alone against swarming demons until his reinforcement arrived, not exactly something a mediocre fighter could ever do.
I’d like to see you damage an Invulerable target without Chaos damage.

He was good but not in Grom’s league. I know only 1 mortal warrior who could match Grom in melee combat and it’s Varian. He would butcher the rest like np.
