Why is E build Orphea even a thing?

Not only is it oppressive to play against, it’s downright contrary to her design. It takes what is supposed to be a mid-range assassin and turns her into a better Chromie with mobility and self sustain, making her low risk and removing a lot of the skill required to play her well.

And the change to lurking terror actually buffed this stupid build. Sure, she can’t double W, anymore, but making it share a cooldown with the base ability means the cooldown is much lower overall, and she can use it from her E on almost every cast, making her able to do even more absurd amounts of poke damage. Something has to go.

I want Orphea to give Hugs and Kisses attacks, with her ult being Cry and then the police comes and locks away your enemies.

Your knee-jerk “mad cuz bad” response isn’t surprising. But if you look at the data her win and contested rates are both high, and her E talents are dominating right now. The build is objectively over-performing, and will be nerfed, assuming Blizzard still actually plans on balancing the game going forward.

Are there any other wet farts in text form that you’d like to post?

Are you implying Mei should’ve been released instead?

I mean, why?

It’s not like she’s going to be killing everything with it, it’s mostly just that, poke. Hanzo and chromie do the same things, guldan has about the same amount of reach with his corruption and he’s a sustained damage mage. How is it oppressive?

Those other heroes have weaknesses that Orphea doesn’t have. Chromie has no mobility or sustain, Hanzo has no sustain and requires people to hang out near walls, Gul’Dan has no mobility or CC, and his sustain is partly cancelled out by the fact that he has to drain his own HP for mana.

Not to mention Orphea’s poke is easier to land thanks to her being able to talent CC into her E, and still deals Chromie-level damage.

And she doesn’t need to be even half as close as Orphea to deal her damage.

No he doesn’t, have you never seen a Q build or auto build hanzo? Plus he has one of the best disengages in the game, with Orphea she relies on the Q mobility, missing it even once can kill you.

No it isn’t. A good guldan can manage his positioning and can deal a much better stable source of AoE sustained damage while almost all of Orphea’s damage is based on burst with low AoE skills. Plus Gul’dan can simply drain a minion or hero for HP and heal himself to full while almost never truly running out of mana unlike Orphea who is incredibly mana hungry if you’re using your skills for waveclear.

All of these heroes bring something different to the table, but if you think a 14 second cooldown, telegraphed skillshot is OP then by all means, don’t let me tell you otherwise.

You are not entirely wrong. It is her safest build, and her E is nigh undodgable, no matter how ‘slow’ people might claim it is.

However, if she’s only poking with E from afar (for a total of 200~ + 550~ explosion damage every 12 to 6 seconds) then she’s not being played to her full potential. Just engage their team then. It’s like complaining about entering an attrition war against a chromie, claiming she does too much poke over time.
