Why is Azmodan in Aram?

Feels kinda of weird that they have removed Leoric and Sgt.Hammer from Aram, but Azmodan is still there. Azmodan is in nearly 80% of aram game’s and it is getting annoying. Why wouldn’t you pick him. Has range nearly half map and insane damage.

It would make aram so much better if Azmodan wasn’t there, but this is just my opinion.

All so would be awesome if there was true Aram (all random) instead of singledraft.
All random on all heroes no banned ones, and you could swap between your team.

Should have been like that ever since they added the game mode really.

If we remove Azmodan in aram, we need to start removing many other heroes. And every time you remove 1 hero, another one becomes oppressive…

Why is Ming in the ARAM?
Why is Chromie in the ARAM?
Why is Tassadar in the ARAM game?
Why is Murky in the ARAM?
Why is any annoying character in the ARAM?

No point to complain. Just accept that there are X heroes.

Man, Azmodan in ARAM is becoming what “Nova in QM” used to be.

Zagara is the stealth problem.
Azmodan needs stacks to end the game, a good Zag (or just one with room to work) will have enemies sitting behind tower while stripping them down before you even get your second talent. Half the zag games I’m in end before level 16, and god help anyone who has to fight into double Zag.

Azmo, Ming and Chromie aren’t a huge issue on their own but can be annoying when your team drafts badly or just doesn’t get a good selection, which makes up the majority of aram games. 99% of Mings will just go orb build so as long as you’ve got a tank who can eat it then there’s no problems.
Zul’jin is a slow starter, the problem in his area is that teams often just throw themselves at each other and he’ll get Headhunter done before the 3 minute mark, which makes stacking very simple.

ARAM complaint threads are a weekly occurrence, if not more frequent. ARAM is chaotic and unbalanced by it’s own nature, but people get too comfortable with the mode and start thinking it’s what the game is supposed to be and want it more balanced and reliable.
Azmo isn’t the problem. The problem is 2-3 of your teammates are playing heroes they’re not very experienced with or good at. That Azmo could be just about any other aoe mage and you’d still get dunked on.
Azmo is just easy for the mode because he’s got innate health to take poke and people refuse to not stay clumped for his Q.

It’s cool if you enjoy the mode and think there’s ways to make it better, but there’s other ways to offer suggestions.
I’m pretty sure what’s left of the dev team spends more time in reddit and/or discord than they do perusing these forums.

Because Q build is boring and that range is meaningless since it’s so highly telegraphed, unless you place it at your feet it’s not going to hit anyone who isn’t CC’d or otherwise just situationally blind.
I’ve been flamed for skipping Azmo and ZJ, but if I’m playing aram it’s for whacky things that I can’t do in regular games. And while getting fat stacks quickly can be fun, doing the same thing every time it’s available to you can get a little old.

I’d rather they just do some kind of dynamic stat balance for all heroes in ARAM. Basically a formula like:

[attack/spell power/health scaling factor] = 1/(0.5 + [aram winrate for last few hours])

This would not only nerf, in real time, oppressive heroes but also beef up those that consistently under perform.

Or, if they want to ease into it:

[attack/spell power/health scaling factor] = 1/(0.95 +0.1x[aram winrate for last few hours])

or, if they want to really ease into it:

[attack/spell power/health scaling factor] = 1/(0.995 +0.01x[aram winrate for last few hours])

also, I’d point out that they already do this except it’s:

[attack/spell power/health scaling factor] = 1/(1.000 +0.000x[aram winrate for last few hours])

But with something like this they could add back all the heroes and all the ults. They could even, some day, aim for having these scaling factors be talent specific.

Actually, he is in 20% of ARAM matches. While he can be frustrating, wildly exaggerating the issue doesn’t help address it.

I would definitely love to see this be an option!

Chromie had a legit reason to be removed though, when her Q stacked infinitely (and went through minions at lvl 1!) she was stupidly overpowered in the mode. There was no way to get to her while she bombed you with massive nukes.

To add insult to injury her sand blast attack range was 15% longer than it is now.

She isn’t a problem in the mode anymore though, not after she got reworked and re-added to ARAM.
Slowing Sands is a bit annoying considering she can create a permanent chokepoint at the enemy gates, but that’s all.

amzodqn had been removed previously from aram, but after some changes, he was added back in, so the “why” is that the devs felt there was enough opportunity and counterplay for dealing with azdomens.

Ive certainly lost having multiple, and I have beaten multiple on either or both sides. Some players try to brawl too much and give up early xp; others dont apply enough pressure and the other side is free to poke, poke, poke; aome heroes are easy to get spam-value and others are undervalued since players don’t think “triangle strategy” on their hero/team picks or counter picks.

The only time heroes like Chromie and Azmodan lose is because they are either played by low skilled players who fail to take advantage of them, or the enemy also has at least 1 ARAM ultra tier hero, or an ultra tier comp which effectively cancels them out. For example one side might have Azmodan, and the other side Chromie so one must eventually lose.

Except one actually needs to take a risk to kill someone.
These have absolutely NOTHING to do with one another.

I like this! Some of my favorite matches are the ones where my team has to make a bad comp work - get rid of the draft!

And then there are the ARAM’s with DOUBLE AZMO!!! Explain that one?

Explain what? The heroes are random.

It is strange how Zag seems to fly under the complaint radar. I did have a double Zag game recently and we snowballed that for a win in twelve minutes.

People prefer to complain rather than adapt. Some complaints are valid, but the “remove X hero” ones should just be ignored IMO.

They have in common that people complain about them a lot on the forums.

Personally I think all the Azmodan hate is simply envy of his glorious curves.

Most well endowed chest in the game. How can Alex and Tyrande even compete?

based on their bwh before entering the Nexus and comparing to what they have gotten since, I’m under the impression that they are trying.
