I liked the video and I agree. So many players I meet are clueless about he game.
After 500+ games how can it be? If it’s so many players, is it their fault or the game’s fault?
HotS problems I see:
-no tutorials for new players about the game basics(soaking, drafting, macro, micro, roles, etc etc).
Solution: implement scripted challenges with rewards to train the potatoes
-no highlight to bad players of what they did wrong (spent x seconds dead, fed x amount of xp with deaths, didn’t soak exp with as an off laner, didn’t get kills with a finisher, didn’t eat damage with a tank, etc etc)
Solution: xp penalty for “bad” players of the losing team. While dead add full screen messages, “while dead you can’t soak experience”, “while dead your team can’t contest objective”, etc etc
-no punishment for players intentionally play wrong.
-punishments/bans for players giving advice(exploitable report system)
