Why doesn't Blaze feel good as a main tank?

The problem is that Blaze peel/stun is under the same cooldown, and imo, its one of the biggest issues with tank Blaze. You dive/stun and right after your backline gets dived on. What then? Muradin got also jump, Diablo got Q.
All the tanks got at least 2 stuns or mobility/displacements (separate cooldowns), or 1 from both.

Secondly, what amazing value dive Blaze gives? Weak AoE AA? Weak Q?
All the benefits you get from spills or debuffs are also possible from range.

Considering the number of charges and AoE size, I’ll dare to disagree.

It will sound weird AF, but imo Blaze is currently in the worst spot he has ever been.
Right after the release he was excellent solo laner, barely viable main tank. But it wasnt a problem with all the viable tanks around.
Right now he is just ok solo laner and just ok main tank (partially because many other solo laners and tanks are very good).
The only reason to pick Blaze atm is oil spam. Bunker is historically difficult to get value from with all the dumbasses around

That doesn’t really have anything to do with comp. Sure, he is good on maps like ToD where area control is extremely important, but that doesn’t mean you will be diving with him. Diablo is also very strong in chokepoint maps, while being a much better pick if you are going for a dive comp.

I really like him in a full double tank comp, where his slows will empower one of the DPS like an Ace in the Hole Raynor. Blaze/Arthas is a nasty pairing where either one can go in lane, and together they can shut down most of the popular assassins.

Don’t even get me started…

One thing i love about blaze is that if your backline gets jumped whilsts you are positioned far forward, you can always throw an oil back to peel from range.

This may sound controversial but i actually dont like him as an off tank. Yes it may work in a professional level but in platinum and below (90% of games) i feel it’s a bad idea. Pros are good at focus fire so dont have this issue, but with two tanks on your team your overall kill potential really suffers.

I actually find the opposite in my games, mostly because tanks tend to be the role with the most CC, and can make it easier to designate a kill target if they are coordinated. In an odd sense, with fewer assassins, it is more likely they will focus fire the same target, especially if the tanks are good at isolating one for them.
