Why does Tassadar’s AA always prioritize anything and everything that is not a hero?
You mean the bounce from AA quest? It should prioritize heroes, it says in the description. If it’s not doing that, then it may be bugged.
No.
If I kill anything, or, if I hit “A” to attack on point, the beam always prioritizes the nearest non-hero entity. The initial AA attack totally ignores enemy heroes in favor of anything else.
pretty sure no hero’s AA prioritizes heroes. I remember once people asked for it to, but many people said no, L2P.
No AA in the game prioritizes hero. It is always the closest to you or the closest to your mouse, depending on what settings you chose.
Ones the AA locks a target you need to stop atacking to change the target, then attack one more time to allow his extra AAs to change to a new target.
Its a quick move that doesn’t take more than 0.3 secs.
Are you guys sure about this? It seemed to me that A click spam near a hero made you attack him.
Blockquote
He AA’s to make it fit the “fantasy” of play as a high templar.
As you will recall from starcraft, high templar were known for their massive auto attack damage. Everytime I satand still shooting a beam out of my hand it brings me back to the days of massing High Templar in SC, just auto attacking everything down.
If you attack to location, by definition and the way it’s been used in Starcraft forever, you will attack the first available enemy. This isn’t a bug. All heroes have this same function if you attack-move.
His AA quest does prioritize heroes, as in when the attack bounces to a target, it will pick a hero first. I can verify this after ~10 games played as AA build.
Depends on what you have on your settings. You can have one of these 2 settings:
- Press A to attack the closest target to you.
- Press A to attack the closest target to your cursor.
In both cases it will attack the closest target, no matter if it is minions, mercs, monsters, heroes or structures (it doesn’t target the side walls though).
I just want to clarrify something ?
Are you A moving or are you hitting A then clicking the actual target ?
A moving will attack the closest hostile target for you . so if a minion is closer , that minion will likely be your target.
A onto target : if you click your intented target and primarily anything else but that target , that would be a bug. As your telling your unit to attack that 1 target specifically.
There are 2 diffrent options for attack moving
Attack the nearest thing
Attack the thing nearest to your mouse
Or they could just…NOT…focus so much on Tassadar AA. The rewards gained from playing AA focused is no where near as useful and you end up sacrificing a lot.
The new AA focus on Tassadar is absolutely bizarre and the amount of talents dedicated to it is frivilous considering Tassadar’s lack of defense and survivability.
I think it has potential and I like the interactions between certain talents and how they affect his charge level. It’s a neat idea to make the noodle beam less noodle-y while also affecting his mana regen.
I had some good results with the build, but I agree, it could use some improvements.
Actually yeah I’ve noticed this as well, I don’t think I’m imagining it! It feels like when I try to A move with Tassadar now it just isn’t accurate! He’s the only hero where I’m noticing it. Though it doesn’t make much sense.
Why don’t you move your mouse a few pixels and right click on the hero? Like a lot of people have said here. There is no such thing as A-moving AA automatically prioritizes hero.
Actually this is not entirely true afaik (in SC2). Some units have lower “threat” value and dont get prioritised with regular units around, despite being closer.
While its not the case in HOTS/MOBA for pretty obvious reasons, there is actually some room to play with it. Lets say that ranged AA assassins are (too) strong and relatively easy to play compared to other heroes (yeah, because we have to assume that cough). Make their Amove prioritise non-heroics by default. You just increased ranged AA assassins skill floor.
As a side note, not like it matters or will ever happen.
