I know its ironical, cause this whole thread is a ‘whine’, but just asking. These forums used to be a nice reading but nowdays everybody just stoplessly whines about EVERYTHING instead of giving legimate topics to discuss and talk about things that are worth of exchanging opinions of us other users.

General was always terrible, the old hero feedback forum was actually a pretty decent place that while not immune, was fairly insulated. Once that forum was removed, everyone fell into general, my head has hurt ever since…

I feel like it has waves of complaining and negativity and waves of fun stoof. You just gotta focus on the positive because there are always gonna be people who whine just to whine, wanting other people to validate them by responding.

Well, last time reads were mostly positive was the super-generous chirstmas event (ty blizz for that!), and time before that I really enjoyed quick-witted converstations on Yrel release (Hoku and Caius really made my day these days). She was pretty well-balanced concept to this day - except her tier1, which justifucally needed tuning. There was a enjoyable moment there where the forums were almost pure LOLs and good feedback about the new Hero and meta concepts concerning her newly precence in the Nexus.

Oh, and I tried to make unique thread few months ago about the entirety of easter eggs in the game Maps, but the interest seemed to be very low sadly

Honestly, I think the mood has shifted ever since the announcement of the downsizing of the staff and the discontinuation of HGC. That event right there just polarized everyone and makes it hard to just have a plain conversation…
People complain about the ‘snowflakes’ getting the complainer silenced, and that’s why the game is dying.
People complain about the toxic people coming down on them like a ton of bricks, and that’s why the game is dying.
This rework ruined the game.
The matchmaking is terrible. And so on.
You try to engage in a point-counterpoint, and the more passionate start throwing around the ‘you’re in denial about the death of the game’ card and it just gets derailed from there.
Everyone can have their subjective opinion, that’s fine. Just recognize that someone else might think differently, and quit insulting each other for not agreeing with you.

The forum had been always the same. Unlike HoTS reddit which is an echo chamber of the fake positivity, most of the posters here is willing to tackle the real issues in harsh manners than pretend everything is fine.
That is why HoTS is a such failure because the developers in the past took advice from the HoTS reddit.
Thats actually so true it hurts, the developers are oddly pusing their attention towards Reddit over their own forums. Its a virtual slap in to their own brand face, which actually shows that they dont care anymore about that, havent cared for a long time, sadly.
They haven`t even added Anduin in the Hero Info page, for gods sake…
