Why do people play difficult heroes when they suck?

I mean, nothing against people playing difficult heroes whatsoever.
But
When or if you play a hero that requires:

  • Map Awareness
  • Fast reaction
  • Smart positioning
  • All of the above

Have you ever consider that you need to practice and hone that hero in order to play them… WELL???

I mean, going into AI matches or custom games I’m fine with.

It’s those people who choose difficult heroes when they are clearly not ready enough and making the rest of the team suffer for their lack of common sense + decision making.

Please, I beg of you.
You CAN play that champ. Nobody is forcing you not to.
but preferrably, LEARN THE HERO first, THEN, play them.

Don’t choose them cuz they look cool (i.e. Genji) or their playstyle looks cool (i.e. Abathur) or simply, you just wanna try them out for the first time (i.e. T.L.V.).

Nobody drives a car perfectly for the first time right? Get some test runs and THEN go out and try.

In any situation whether its QP or Ranked.

I dunno why people assume QP = Throwable games.
They require seriousness too.

Everyone has to start somewhere. AI will only get you so far, especially when you know how to cheese them.

The thing is that QM is the best mode to practice a hero in a pvp setting. The AI can act predictably, and can actually harm a players ability to play a hero if they only played the hero in AI and pick up bad habits from bot predictability.

QM is for most players the mode to test and learn new things.
Anyway, people think they can play a hero well pretty fast.
The same way as people think they are good at something but just because they are ignorant and don’t realize that they aren’t good.

Again, I’m FINE if you want to upgrade your skills on a hero AFTER playing with bots.

I’m pissed at those who randomly picks a hero at QP or Ranked just because they feel like it.
It’s illogical from the very start.

Simple. Because those players overestimated their own capability and want to be different snowflake when they can’t even grasp the basic stuff of HoTS. For starters, map awareness.

u came here to cry because ppl learn heroes in QM its actually insane
i dont know person who tryhard QM but i think i found one

Wow, you are a salty one.

What’s wrong with telling people to play the game more seriously a bad thing?

Whether YOU as a player like it or not, it ruins the fun for EVERYONE ELSE if you are bad at playing a hero just simply becuz you wanted to have your way at playing a never-before-played hero.

So you’re basically stating that 1 > 4.

Learn to comprehend buddy.

I’m criticizing the people’s ATTITUDES towards the game not that
I LOVE QM and I ONLY CARE ABOUT QM.

again,
Learn to COMPREHEND

You need to read a book…
Seriously…

This is a pointless and useless post. Not even worth discussing. People play QM to test talents for certain comps and get better.

Remember everyone. The best way to get better at a hero is to never practice until you are good enough to practice.

You only get one ai quest for every account though. haha

My god, can’t HoTS community read what’s actually on the post?

GOD, please people READ what’s stated.

I’m criticizing the ACTIONS people take.

I’m stating that there is a WAY BETTER way of playing FIRST TIME HEROES.
Get that?
FIRST TIME!!!

Stop it. Get some help.

The thing is, that isn’t a better way of playing first time heroes, especially if you are critical of their positioning and map awareness. The best way to learn this is to play the hero against other people. Yes, I do recommend going into Try Mode to get quick cast settings arranged the way that works best for a new hero, and to get a feel for range and timing on combos, but I am very skeptical that AI is a better way of learning anything other than maybe objective timing.
