Why did you nerf SAMURO of all heroes?

I have never felt like samuro was “op” and i barely even SEE him. I dont get why pepole want him nerfed. I always thought he was on the weaker side honestly.

But that was a huge nerf. Before he could teleport back and return with Illusion Mastery. Now he cant. That was a big part in his gameplay and one of the reason to pick him. Wt f was that blizzard? They leave OP heroes like Diablo at the top of the food chain for like forever and nerf niche heroes and actually need high skill like Samuro. First time I say this but I will probably quit this game.

Its funny they let’s someone who doesnt understand the game and balancing at all to take charge of the game. Illusion Mastery was powerful, sure, but Samuro has 5% pick rate, and it was not even picked more than Blade Storm, so that was not a problem at all. Why did not buff all other talents of a one build man rather than nerf his useful ones.

It will be fine if Illusion duration be increased to 22 secs or sth.

I’d say even fighting against him in AI that he is nearly impossible to kill. His copies do large amounts of damage. Has stealth, and increased movement speed.
Knowing the main body still doesn’t save you from getting wrecked by his copies.
Sam, knows you know which is the real one? Stealth away.
Sam, can speed away from players giving chase.

Pick rates are mentioned, but are you referring to HL and TL? I feel he is good against new players, while high level players know exactly how to deal with him.

Hell, no, his illisions barely deal tickle damage. It’s just that now the original Samuro deals as much damage as the old Samuro along with his clones.
That hero can blow you up in no time if you are a squishy xP

He can’t blow up anyone now. Heaven forbid a melee assassin be able to kill enemy heroes…I bet they come for Alarak and Zeratul next.

A high skilled hero is good when played at high skill level? NERF!

A low pick rate niche hero is good at their niche? NERF!

This “balance” patch is the worst I’ve seen yet and is the very reason blizzard can’t keep the game alive.

You should reward good player skill. They have effectively eliminated a reason to ever pick chogall or samuro over a low skill floor AA hero like raynor.

This has been a habit of theirs for a long time now, I think heavily since Dustin Browder left really. Anything that takes skill gets nerfed of the power befitting it, meanwhile low skill heroes like Raynor, Jaina, Li Li, and such are allowed to run amok.

Played some games and it was really terrible. 2 secs dont seem much to non Samuro players but it made a big difference. Before he can roam freely after 10, create pressure on map constantly because of the tp trick but now he need to depend much more on healer and often have to walk back to fight from base.

Before if I use Image Transmission to enter fight, I can swap 2 more times with 1 duration of Q, but now only 1 time and I have to wait for another Q. He is clunky and much weaker. It seems I have to say goodbye to my favorite hero and the game for now.

The two do not correlate.

And yet they nerf raynor far harder than these two have been touched in years.

High skill heroes should not be unbalanced either. Just because a player is good with them does not mean they should be oppressive.

A good samuro can have nearly 100% uptime on map presence, get camps, swap around to get into teamfights and be a real menace on the backline.

A good chogall had nearly a 70% winrate on the bombbuild. Even when the hero is niche does not constitute a high winrate when it isn’t countered. That’s bull.

Was kinda sad they nerfed my favorite hero again. I usually play Gall and go for the Bombs Away quest and average 60-80 hits. Now it caps at 40. It was literally a power creep to the point where it did massive damage. I loved it, though it may have been oppressive on the receiving end. 200 extra damage for late game… seems weak.

Chogall and Samuro nerfs were both needed for higher levels of play.

Even at master league they had pathetic pickrates

Balance has nothing to do with Pickrates. It wasn’t dumpster OP. Was OP when you played those heroes with a lot of dedication.

So highly skilled and dedicated players of those specific heroes made them highly effective? Wow. must nerf. God forbid skill be rewarded.

Just because a few select players are very very good at x hero does not mean it needs a nerf. When it starts dominating the metagame, it should be looked at. But a very small number of highly skilled players should not get the hero nerfed into oblivion

Well said. Sadly this is the MOBA where skill is not rewarded but punished instead. Hell, you get reported if you don’t brawl mid all day.

People need to give up on this dying game and give DotA 2 a try. You may not like last hitting, but the rest of the game offers so much more.
