So recently there were a couple of Reddit threads talking about our resident Wakandan, Qhira. They were mostly about how her E works.
Now just to get the point across, I know why she can’t attach to Unstoppable targets, but I am wondering why she can’t stay attached to an Unstoppable target if they get cleansed?
Since Qhira herself is Untargetable and Unstoppable while spinning, it doesn’t make sense why she can’t stay revolved around targets who are Unstoppable (I understand why she can’t initially attach to them). It’s not like those heroes can target Qhira herself while she’s spinning so the initial attachment’s looping problem wouldn’t have been an issue in this case. My current thoughts are that the reasoning is strictly balance (because her E is already front-loaded with so many effects that she needs some counters).
So basically, I’m wondering whether the reason behind this is programming or is it balancing. I can’t really say much if it’s balancing but I feel like right now she just doesn’t embody the dev team’s vision of her Spinning around her target since Qhira’s would generally want to E and then E immediately to avoid being put in dangerous situations. Of course, if it is balancing reason, I think they can work out a way to redistribute her power budget for her most distinct ability.
P.S. if she can in fact stay attached to unstoppable targets, can we allow her to attach to Deathwing? Someone mentioned how cool that would look, kinda like swinging around in Attack on Titan and now I’m obsessed with the idea .
This. Otherwise she would be op and probably a no-brainer, especially against DW, who has the biggest hitbox in the game. But on the other hand, if Qhira would have this, maybe people wouldn’t cry against Gladiator’s Medallion.
So if you want Qhira to be able to derp spin I want GM back.
It is mostly this. There were some hysterical bugs with her when she latched onto certain Unstoppable targets, such as a Chen who then Kegged. Remember the old WTF moment video when two Chens got into a kick war and slowly spiraled up into the sky?
It doesn’t happen anymore. It happened during bug testing before she was released, but they added the .025 stun on impact to prevent interactions like that. Originally, hitting the target didn’t stun, only the reactivation. This initial stun ensures your target will not move or use an ability as you start spinning.
But I still remember seeing that happen in a wtf moments, so maybe it could still be reproduced with some frame perfect interaction? Like that genji and butcher one, where you can actually swift strike through Butcher’s E and don’t get hit if you time dash right as Butcher is hitting you.
Just want it said for myself and others who might share the same view.
I’d support Blizzard if they decided to cancel “Nexus heroes” thing and remove Orphea and Qhira all together never to add them or any other Nexus hero again.
It is because it stuns at the end. Would hardly be much of a cleanse the target received if Qhira still stuns them at the end once the unstoppable expires.
If they allowed the interaction to happen they would need to heavily nerf other parts of her kit.
