It’s a valid point. Nobody cares about exclusivity anymore. It’s been 10 years.

I got the original wonder billie pony from a HotS promo code during the launch and I couldn’t care less if new players can buy it for 5 dollars, 100 gems or even 5000 gold.

All the old ranked mounts etc. before Storm League existed (Hero League lions etc) should also just be straight up buyable. Why not? 99,9% of the people who have them haven’t even logged in during this decade.

Also, there’s some hidden content only AI can equip like Golden Xenotech Abathur. Why not release that into the shop and make a few dozen bucks.

A lot of these mounts didn’t require you to buy them. So they wouldn’t make more money.

I spent money on skins/mounts prior to 2.0, and like you, I don’t care if players can buy any exclusive mounts that I paid money for, I don’t mind if they throw them away for 2k gold, or even for free.

Giving away free skins and mounts in chests, was no doubt a money loser, but it sure did pretty up the game, and allowed everyone to see and enjoy the hard work of the art department.

Speaking of mounts lost to time, we’re still yet to see the Nazeebra mount make a return to the shop, perhaps the Janitor doesn’t want to encourage even more players to become Naz mains?

dying company, the higher IQ people have left for better things…simple QOL things like this should be opened up for those who stick around…but that would be intelligent and respectful…so, not gonna happen

ignoring the last part I maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay have done a little maths regarding the auiel bundle I got before 2.0 containing all three original demon skins. I deduced that it is now more expensive to get Auriel and the three demon skins than it was long ago.

I might be wrong and there are some exclusive ways of getting Nazeebra (codes or cross game unlockables) but I’m 90% sure it’s just like golden xeno aba, a cosmetic only the AI is allowed to roll at random.

Beats me why they wont just charge money for those. 50 people would buy them with gems over time. All they have to do is change a variable in the text files and allow it.

Nexus charger also disappeared after being buyable for 30k for a few weeks in 2017.

I see no reason why not regarding the mounts. Very few if any of them were locked behind any achievements or quests that I can recall, so tossing them in the shop wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.

Anything else that was a limited time achievement or quest based reward should be left alone. It would devalue those items severely and would take away from those that actually earned such items. While I am still a bit grumpy to this day that I did not get the Deputy Valla portrait, it makes it more eye catching when that one appears alongside a profile in matches.

The Nazeebra mount isn’t exclusive to AI, I snapped it up during my “I’m a Naz main” phase. The mount, I believe, has only been offered in the shop twice.

IKR, that was sharing something of a deeply personal and compromising nature. If it offsets my sins a little, the very first hero I mained was full support Tassadar, I miss those days and the hero.
