For you who is the best hero for 1v1? For my part Tracer and Illidan are excellent duelists. With Tracer I have won many heroes and I have even been able to beat Varian even if he puts on the talent that reduces the load CD to 4 seconds, and with Illidan from late game it becomes a nightmare. But if we put Tracer and Illidan two against Valeera then they have nothing to do. And obviously as in this case, there will be heroes who cannot beat another but in general terms, for you who is the best?
In terms of pure duel power. Butcher with his trait finished is up there due to just how much raw damage he can pump out combined with his self healing.
Win Blades Second Win parryin’ Varian, taking Winbringer at 10.
Unless they’re made of stuns, you just bring so much sticking power and survival. You might even be able to kite Butcher out of his Brand, given the ranged slow, provided you bait out the charge. Meanwhile, you’re denying typically strong attackers and you can bring the armor banner to bear if you’re struggling against spellcasters by paving it right in their retreat.
I also really like to duel with ETC on a Pinball Wizard build. Given Powerslide, it’s tough to get a lead on him, or escape, and with Prog Rock he can soak up a ludicrous amount of damage. You can bring Speed Metal as well and then the talent that reduces the heal cooldown on basics, and you suddenly become kind of terrifying to find alone-- yeah you don’t do much burst damage, but you have the power to sustain a long, protracted fight, which can keep valuable targets removed from a fight or objective.
Of course, ETC shouldn’t be that far away from his pals, and Varian has more to do than just dueling with win blades.
Butcher or winblades Vairan
Shout out to Artanis being really good
People underestimate supports too, Lili Uther Reghar, Kahrazim and Ana are REALLY good duelist if the enemy is sustain damage. the fatc that they cant heal and the opponents healing is far less is a big impact
Chogall
…
I feel that there are many heroes who beat Varian to consider him one of the best. Lunara, Tracer, Tyrande, Illidan, Butcher, Valeera, Thrall (Quest complete), Leoric (Maybe), Arthas, Lúcio, Li Li, Zul’Jin, Valla, Samuro, Li-Ming, Muradin, Raybor, Hanzo, Alarak (Maybe) and some more beat Varian twin blades.
If the butcher uses the Silence, Varian will not be able to slow it down and the butcher uses the enraged talent at level 16, although he cannot heal himself beats Varian.
Context of the duel is important. Like the matchups, maps, talents, etc.
But my personal experience, Chen is amazing in the offlane 1v1s
I like dueling as a leo. With slow on his swipe and drain build with cdr and 50 armor at 20 lvl he can hold very well against physical atkers. It is not that hard to land drain against someone with 50% slow.
Butcher definitely wins if he lands his ult; it’s a different story if he doesn’t. That’s an important point for Butcher though, if he LttS’ successfully he’ll basically win unless the opponent is completely armored up.
I also agree with picks like Li Li and Uther. They can sustain a mean duel with the right talents.
Against mages Ana probably is the best. Consistent spell damage reduction and good life regen. Made even better by most mages having bad health to begin with so her damage is always a threat to them.
Tyrande is a worthy mention for all round. Damage reduction, self heal and moderate damage that scales per auto attack. Parry Varian is unlikely to do much to her as she can always separate him with stun.
Kaharizim is another worthy all-round mentioned. Seven-Sided Strike, self heal and reasonable auto attack damage.
Deathwing can be very lethal if he catches his opponents off guard with his destruction build. Initial damage reduction plus continuous high boosted damage and slows to prevent most heroes escaping. Only issues is the lack of life sustain and vulnerability to percentage damage.
Nazeebo is one of those “shoot first” duellists. Practically no one can survive his kit well due to how high DPS it is. A lot of heroes would die to a single jar of spiders and a few other hits like auto attacks, toads or wall.
Leoric is also a god of duelling. High life sustain and constant percentage damage. Only really loses to some heroes like Varian due to his healing reduction.
Late game Imperius also is a pain. Huge burst damage, and all his attacks hurt. Especially if he takes the non-cancelling trait talent at 20 he can hit Butcher levels of damage to potentially multiple enemies.
Jaina could Ice Block to cancel his charge and then proceed to unload on him while he is helpless to stop her due to having charge on CD and horrible mobility.
Johanna can just walk away from him whenever she feels like it. Not really duelling but certainly not a secure win.
There is always a Hero who can beat the “best”, the “numero uno”, but I’d say Winblades Varian is the most consistent.
There is no such thing as the best. Everything has their counters. Most consistent would be Illidan.
I consider Quira to be the best duelist in general. She wins a lot of matchups, and will wreck most bruisers.
She can be easily kited. If she misses her E, any range would fok her
Arthas att speed + Rune tap
Nothing that can beat it
If people go mage, you take Q build and outheal them
Low on health? Summon army of the death
W build Sonya wins Arthas btw. No contest at all. Her W resets her aa, so the aa slow doesn’t matter.
Imagine zeratul killing you before your lil bomb even explodes. That’s how scary level 20 zeratul is
The 50 Zeratuls I’ve killed with Tracer don’t say the same. Regression leaves me out of Zerarul’s reach for a second (apart from that he cures me 100%) and when Tracer reappears, zeratul can’t kill me in less than a second xD. It’s funny to see Zeratul dying from the Tracer combo while Tracer says “Nope” to him abilities.
Add me in case you want to play against me in 1v1.
When in the minion wave. Sonya wins. When outside Arthas wins.
+if she is getting out using her spin you can root her. You actually have time for that if you follow her path even if she takes speed at 13
Good zeratul is very rare thing. Determining hero’s full potential based on 50 samples. That statistically makes no sense
