Maps like Dragon Shire or Braxis. Who beats Rexxar in those lanes?
At what level.
People seem to forget that different heroes have different power spikes.
I donât imagine an Artanis from level 1-12 would beat a Rexxar in this cases. But at possibly at level 13, and almost certainly at level 16 he should be able to do so. At least, in the very quick âtheorycraftingâ in my mind.
Same for other potential heroes. Level matters a lot. Some heroes scale worse (few), some scale better (few). Some have a more âfront loadedâ power spike. Others have a later power spike.
Can samuro do it? Need some high ranked and experienced samuros to comment
Well if Art canât beat him Until L16 game is probably decided on either of those maps so will take that as a no.
Best bet is to draft Zeratul, and have him rotate in to gank Rexxar at key times.
Pretty much any hero with dive and self-sustain is going to be capable of beating him. Itâs just a matter of who is more skilled at their hero. I donât think any particular hero is going to have a definitive advantage regardless of skill gap.
But if I had to pick, it would be gazlowe, as long as he remains in âsoakâ mode and doesnât try to push forward.
Cassia keep attack rexxar, misha deal very little damage on you, or easier way is fenix if you good trade hit with rexxar with your shield. But important tip if you vs rexxar is let him push lane higher then starting attack rexxar, if you starting fight rexar near the gate, you will lose more hp than him.
TLV.
Im serious.
I would say a good contender, to lane against Rexxar would be Sonya, she has better wave clear then him, and as long as you make sure he doesnât get to interrupt your spin with Meshaâs stun, then you can out heal his damage in a minion wave, her spear also make her a huge threat for him, if he is not careful.
But sometimes you have games on those maps where it is close. Or like on Dragon Shire, where the objective doesnât get taken once until level 13+ (Iâve had a number of those games).
Which is why context matters always.
So youâre looking for who beats him early game, like, pre level 10?
rexâs ability to set misha on the point while he hangs in lane means heâs pretty much the 1v1 king for control point lanes.
other heroes might hold the lane, but they wont win the point on their own except in a few cases that likely mean one player is outplaying the other.
KTand maiv can thoery-craft abuse rexxar and misha â kt can chain mish to rex for stacks (depending on leash control) so while he might not âwinâ early, and he wont hold a point unlesss rex is dead, it can be quest stack progress and the root/chain combo can be captalized on if a ally doea come gank.
maiev has the mobility to pressure rex personaly, can jump the stun from misha, and if rex tries to run defensive, then that puts misha and rex close enough for fan-procs. However, I dont have much experience on playing as rexxar so im pretty sure maiev harass is more a disparity of skill between players. If a healer can rotate around maiev the top her off. she can try to be more aggressive.
Illidan, or any strong diver hero for that reason⌠Rex can occasionally peel for himself to defend himself from being dived/ganked but at the end of day heâs pretty much countered by every hardcore diver
Twin blades Varian.
Thrall
Malthael
I could go onâŚ
Tychus EASILY does â but a well played Tychus should be in the bigger fights, not soloing a lane unless youâre really desperate.
hmm let me think, i donât have a lot of expierance vs rex but i can theory craftâŚ
- Valeera probably could, without a doubt once you get mutilate, but it also really comes down to how smart the rexxar is and how good the val is. but i think assuming equal skill levels valeera could win.
- Samuro probably could,
- Murky COULD wear him down, but it would be slow, and probably not a good way to do it.
- Graymane could wear him down quite well, with good spacing and silver bullets.
thats all i got for now, iâm sure theres moretho

Most ranged heroes can poke at Misha safely in a 1v1, and Valla, Hanzo and Cassia (among others) can provide a little burst to try and secure a kill on Misha before Rexxar can repostion her.
Once Misha is down, then Rexxar canât trade well against any ranged hero (Hanzo can outrange him). They can bully him off the objective for 15 seconds, and possibly get some damage in.
âŚAlthough I donât have much experience with good Rexxars. I imagine theyâd be difficult to ever dislodge without a gank.
Zulâjin can statcheck Misha and if Rexxar gets close enough to help he doesnât do enough damage to swing it enough and enters range of Zulâjin.
At least that happened last time I played Rexxar a while ago.
i would pick Zagara and here is whyâŚ

- Infest
â i would take this simply for the damage the archers will be doing. early on its nothing. later as you get more siege it will pick up. - Serrated Spines
â increase your AA damage. Rexxar likes to send Misha in to the waves or have Misha just sit on the point. this is fine dont worry about it as long as your team can hold the other side. what you do is just stack⌠and stack⌠and keep stacking. eventually Rexxar wont be able to keep Misha up without pulling back even with his heal and you can do whatever you want. - Baneling Massacre
â more banelings more damage. its good for throwing into the waves or onto heroes if you can hit them. mainly more wave clear. - Maw
â for helping your team - Hydralisk Transfusion
â small heal to it but it helps. The only other one you can get is Nydus ult which isnt really that great on this map imo. Spellshield could be an alternative here obviously⌠but Protective Coating is trash. its very likely your creep will get easily taken down. - Corrosive Saliva
â i like this it does lots to Misha and Rexxar - Maw
â upgrade maw for CD reduction and damage.
I say Zagara can pretty much bully out most heroes, with a few exceptions like Illidan
