That make me so angry when that happen, people Don’t care about the map, merc push top, merc push mid, i play yrel, if i Don’t def we lose two keep while maybe losing the team fight and the objective, so after i have defend all the lane, save all the keep, then i come to the TF late (and i have ping def), people ping you, why you Don’t come TF ? Why you are afk pve ? Report yrell etc
I explain to them if i wouldn’t defend we would lose two keep already and we would be very bad, people just Don’t care at all, and still report you.
People never lane, never get xp, never care, so i am doing all the time the job, often doing three lane at once, but people never see it, they think i am doing Nothing at all, this is boring.
If it’s a map where you can afford to let one or two objectives go, tell them you’re planning to def and soak before the objective shows up.
It’s not guaranteed you’ll be understood, much less followed, but at least they’re warned.
Reminds me of a Genji on Cursed Hollow saying “let this one go soak 10” before diving 2v5 with another mate in a suicidal attempt to teamfight. Needless to say we never had the opportunity to close the level gap.
It’s surprising how some people seem to have no idea of how XP and levels work. Sometimes I have to give whole lectures about how letting an objective go can tip the scales in our favor.
You seem to be speaking in hyperbole and exaggeration, which leaves me highly suspicious of your claims, especially if you’re consistently getting these comments from your allies.
You’re seriously going to lose two keeps if you don’t defend? How the heck do you even split yourself into two places to defend. How do you also know you’re going to lose the team fight if you join your team.
You just seem to be all around confused and not a very good teammate.
@volun i do lot of games, i Don’t have it a lot but that still happen, people in QM Don’t care about the map, and yes merc who push can destroy a keep if you Don’t stop them fast, and they got asmodan who was pushing with his demon.
And i am a very good teammate because i do what people Don’t, maybe next time i should “Don’t care” and let all the keep be destroyed, who care ?
Why aren’t your 2 camps pushing? Is it a map where the objective is more important than letting 2 camps rush into your forts/keeps? There’s so much info missing that I call bs on this one
Still not enough, pings are too easily ignored.
I usually type in chat when I want people to skip an objective so that my point is clear to them. When you ping like retreat on the objective and then lanes, it’s not impactful enough.
Yesterday I had a game on Tyrande where I was solo-laning all game, why ?, well mainly cause our Artanis instead of soloing a lane kept fighting into people
Luckily our opponents super sucked so he had positive KDA and his “strategy” didn’t backfire
But yes, it’s often a case of team’s misrotation
Fun fact: Ended up with almost every stat max lol, the only thing I didn’t have was hero damage and tanking done, everything else had top stats
Most people in this game don’t understand macro play. There is a line between split pushing and defending structures/soaking waves. Obviously it is situational and map dependent, but I run into teams all the time where they constantly team fight and I’m the only one soaking, regardless of my hero choice.
Sometimes you just have to defend/soak and hope your team doesn’t lose the fight. Losing a keep to siege mercs is not worth most objectives. Depending on the objective and team level, a big push can absolutely do more damage than an objective. For example, a big wave with bruiser camp on shrines will do much more damage than the first punisher, assuming you appropriately defend it.
There is also a difference in how your team should react that people don’t understand. On a map like volskaya, you can afford to have 3 or 4 people clear big pushes and show up to objective late since it takes time to capture. On warhead, a chromie can absolutely stall one or two people on a nuke with safe poke while other soak and clear waves.
One caveat for playing with randoms: if you are even or ahead in levels, don’t worry about soaking as much. It may technically be more correct to soak a big wave while your team pokes and stalls, but it is very dangerous to expect them not to engage/get engaged on. The only exception is really if you’re going to take a massive amount of structure damage.
You can try to communicate with these people, but if they aren’t open to listening nothing you say or do will have an effect.
Getting a team who doesn’t understand basic wave clear and soaking is much harder to carry than a team with poor mechanical skills or a bad composition matchup.
i have ping two time each lane, i was thinking they would defend the mid one, while i defend the top one, but people Don’t care at all, so i have done the two lane by myself, then i have come to the TF, late ofc, but i have done the right choice, we have lost one flower (1/3), but its ok, better than lost two keep and lost of xp.
