Anybody know the record for the longest match to ever take place? Is there a limit to how long a match can go on for before the game crashes or declares a draw? I’m sure there’s a group of college kids or something that’ve seen how far they can take it.
I’ve played games that have gone on for 40 minutes or so but I’m sure there are longer ones.
AI games can be dragged to 60 minutes, there is specifically a group of people who do this in AI mode.
The game can drag on after that, but shortly after that point minions and catapults will have destroyed the core.
I don’t know but oddly enough all my longest games are arams for what ever reason.
50 min back in the old day on garden map.
45 min againts a 5 stack that refuse to end.
Only thing that has a cap is team lvls. Team lvls cap at lvl 30 but its very rarely that you will ever see games that last that long. Most games ends before lvl 20 or at lvl 25 at best.
Since hots doesn’t share stats, we will never know the longest match. I’ve had 50+ minute matches a few times.
There is also a cap on how long teams can pause a game. I think it’s a combined total of 30 mins (might be an hour). After that, the game kicks everyone out, and it will not let anyone reconnect to that game no matter what.

From memory in the 40 minutes but I never recalled over 50 mins.
After 25 minutes, it just drags
I once had a regular game (QM or ARAM), that lasted for over an hour.
47 min ARAM is my record
QM or ARAM…what does that mean. One of them is typically much longer than the others…You had a non ARAM go over and hour.
Ive had a 47min ARAM and there is almost no way without staging it that you could have pushed it 13+ more minutes
You used to be able to check on HOTSlogs. Now since all their data got wiped there data pool is near nothing.
My record is 48 minutes. I’m not sure there is a limit to how long you can go, but they can last a while.
Hotslogs was still uploaded by users, like HeroesProfile, so we didn’t have all the data either.
It’s not like league of legends which all the data is public.
Khaldor has posted a match on Haunted Mines years ago that lasted over an hour.
thats true but if i uploaded a game we played it would add your stats.
So the up until the last few years it had a good % of the games in its database. I lost over 2000 games on it. I was bummed
