I like Technical Names the most, then More Comedic Names, and third of all, Evil/Heroic Names.
And then in fourth place, adjective based names.
I love names like Andorhal Anomaly, referencing the hero’s lore while still having that “epic skill” feel.

Comedic all the way. Although I guess matching the demeanor of the hero is most important.
references to in-game stuff, like diablo heroes with talents named after equipment sets!

That’s why I like technical names. They almost always go to SC2 Heroes, like with Neosteel Coating.
Each theme of names, in my opinion, depends on four things:
- The origin universe of each hero and their lore
- If the talent name fits with its own functionality
- The selection of exact words that fit the character fantasy
- Individual theme and personality of each hero
- Anduin talent names reference a holy priest
- Whitemane talent names infers a zealous tone
- Stukov talent names can infer virulence and infestation
- Alarak talent names are more narcissistic (not in a bad way)

I like a good mix.
Mathael has one called “Throwing Shade” which makes me chuckle when I see it.

I gotta say, Malthael has among the worst talent names. Almost all of them are too edgy for the tone of the game.
I like them.
They’re so over the top, but done with such sincerity I can’t help but see it as somewhat of a parody.
