Was just looking through heroes I never played and reading their abilities and traits and whatnot. On Xul, he has talents that optimize a ‘bone armor’ ability, but I do not see any bone armor option in his abilities on the character select screen.

It’s a hotkey he has from the start

Bone Armor
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Activate to gain a Shield equal to 25% of Xul’s maximum Health for 3 seconds.
You get this at the beginning of the game. Think of it like a 4th basic ability as thats pretty much what it is.

It is similar to Zul’jin’s Amani Rage. That isn’t listed in his basic abilities either, but it is automatically mapped to his 1 key from the very start, and there is a talent for it at level 4.

If you’re looking through heroes and are curious how things work, go in the store, select the hero, and it lets you try them out.
It’s really helpful in deciding which heroes to buy, or if you want to see how different talent combinations affect each other.

You can test all heroes in try mode by go to
collection > heroes > pick hero > try

IIRC, Jaina’s Ice Block is also unlisted in hero selection, which is a pretty crucial ability, even if it’s gated behind frost damage.

I think it is more like second part of his trait labeled as Hotkey. E.g. Leoric have 2 traits,.
