I can find a group of strangers to play with easily enough just by hitting play. What do I have to gain by sticking with the same group of strangers as opposed to meeting new ones every game?
“Financially”, I think you have more exp if you are in a party.

Yep, it’s most often used for those playing vs AI games for exp gain.
Yes it’s mostly about joint XP. Part of the idea though is you meet a player randomly in a game you want to play with again, but 99% of the time that person won’t have the LFG feature ticked.

I heard there are some few players, who are open minded and prefers to play with Discord/Voice, because it’s a team game… but this experience seems like a myth for the majority of Hots players.

I’ve only ever seen players with the LFG function consistently active when I knocked out quests in VS AI mode. It’s so very rare to see it, at least from my experience outside of AI.
There are a few dedicated HOTS discords, I don’t use them, maybe someone could suggest them for the OP? I wouldn’t however suggest general chat to find people!
