What do you think will happen when you let level 50 players in Ranked?

Well few things actually
1 Smurfing is very easy
2 Newbies will do absolutly stupid things (picking randomly, picking heroes that they can’t play, picking Butcher/Nova/Tass or all three at once :joy:, suicide in 1 v 5 …)
3 As a result matches become many things but not entertaining and players will leave (that is happenig right now)

Now I understand that PBMM is beyond you abilities but could you please increase the ranked requirements to something reasonable (1 hero of each class to at least level 10 + 10 more heroes at level 5, ok support and melee assasin maybe don’t have to be mandatory)

Pretty please

I saw two level 50’s duo queued in SL and their first placements were gold 1. We lost that round due to less experiences and knowledge of the game. They don’t even consider camps.

That is exactly my point. This was one of the main reasons I disliked old Team League. How lucky I am that there is no other option.

I know 2 people by the name of HEISENBERG and Dr.Logan who would be very mad if they saw this

they need to start new accounts on 0 MMR instead of a median MMR, and let it build over time. good players will rise faster; bad players not so much

The problem is players picking very niche heroes in very wrong situations.

They are just the best examples but it is like picking Cassia against triple mage.

What will happen?
Idk. Firstly I will be upset.
Then - I will think about Alt F4 (no matter, how often I think about doing that, I never do it -_- )
After - I will hope they are smurfs and play good.
Last thing - screaming.

Raging is my issue. Ask Hellobg about that.

I don’t care much about the low entry level. But i do wish Blizz would bring back the minimum character level so people will stop trying out heroes for the first time in ranked games. Looking at you level 1 insta lock Anduin.

I think level 50 is fine. If anything it is way too high.

On the smaller servers, every game mode is dead except ranked and quickmatch. So players who want to actually play the game (instead of playing a stupid clown mode where you learn nothing) have to grind to level 50 just to start playing games with reasonable drafts since there is no unranked.

Many of these low level players come from other MOBAs or are banned players starting a new account and many of them are really good anyway.

Some people learn fast and some people learn slow. There are people out there who are level 2000 with silver account and there are people out there with level 200 who are grandmaster.

Since level is a very poor indication of skill, I would definitely disagree on raising level requirements.

At this stage of the game, it’s not very likely the lv50 is a smurf anymore. It was 1-2 years ago, but now it will 99% likely be a new player.
