Literally, all my friends quit hots over night because they did not want to support activision’s terrible policies. What are other moba like games that are short and fun (not LoL)

People plays heroes of the storm is because they can’t enjoy DoTA2/LoL in the first place.

I have played Smite since 2013.
Now granted, fun and short are very subjective things, and when characters like Loki, He Bo, Nox, etc. in that game it can make things super annoying. And while its far from the best game in the world, I enjoy it.
However, some many in the MOBA world probably know of Hirez and their ‘tendencies’… Smite may still be kicking strong but can’t say the same about their latest game cough cashgrab Royal cough

And thanks for your replies! I will look into smite. My friends and I got burnt out of LoL after hitting Diamond, it’s too time consuming compared to HoTs
HOTS was one of a kind I’m afraid, every other MOBA is a Toxic Clown Show with 6 hour matches

You cant go wrong with dota 2 . but be warned its not Politically Correct like HOTS (HOTS and Overwatch = full of feminazies, white hating developers)

I play Dota 2, it is a better game than HotS, and uses a far better reporting system. The down side is the largely static map, and items, as well as game lengths. Also, it is a lot more complex which allows for a much larger gulf in skill. You have a lot more to learn and it is a lot harder to play a perfect game. The upside is that if you play a perfect game it is a lot harder to lose than HotS is where playing a perfect game doesn’t matter if you have a single bad teammate.

There are lol and dota2.
Nothing else, the rest are dead/dying, just like hots.
Also IMO, anyone who can’t paly for 20-30 min (which is a average lol game length) is better just not play at all.

Smite is dead.
LoL is trash and the metagame is horrendous. Good luck buying all 120+ heroes too.
Dota is better to start with, but the game has a lot of tiny intricacies that push its skill floor over the roof.

If you enjoy HotS… you can enjoy LoL or Dota if you just take the time to learn them and play some. I didn’t think I would like it either but the games aren’t bad and way less frustrating than HotS.

I play in Vainglory (Alpha on PC). Very fun, easy and enjoyable moba.

Well that’s because they went and took Realm Royale and tried to Fortnite it/make it generic which killed what people thought made it absolutely awesome/pure gold. I bet they are kicking themselves over that now.
I 2nd it though, Smite is great fun just understand there will be a bit of learning involved, you won’t transition over and do amazing right off the bat.

You can still play Heroes if you like Activision and Blizzard stuff. Not recommend if you don’t like to be friends with backstabbers.
Last i checked, HotS also had a very toxic community. Sure not on the same level as LoL or DotA, but has it really gotten better in the last 6 months?
