Origin of your btag name?
My name goes back to the days when I played Starcraft: Broodwar where I joined/created a clan called Xv[Blade] which was short for The Vampire Blades (Xv indicated that you were a vampire on RPG forums and chat rooms) and we would write our names as - XvFox[Blade] for example.
Anyway, I keep the name through several games, but it eventually just shortened to FoxBlade due to character limits and whatknot.
Itās my cats nameā¦
I actually donāt think I got harsh lessons from life. I always had friends older than me, and Iām pretty analytical and most of them liked to act wise, so I learnt things in time, without a bad, surprising experience.
But! To at least try to come up with something which can be called that:
Thanks for taking the time to answer Karabars.
Now Iād like to ask phaseshifter a question.
Everyone has a few good qualities about themselves, what would you say are your best qualities and why? How have they benefitted you?
We just read about Ana vs Nova. ( female snipers)
Time for ā¦Stukov vs Dehaka!!(zerg with asymmetrical arms)
Cool cat name, darling.
Iād say my analytical skills, and my talents as speaker.
Analysis helps me with everything from video games to finding patterns where other people might not, as well as getting killed first in every game of werewolf because I always figure out who the werewolves are.
My talents as a speaker have brought me to do conferences, and being asked to do more by the organizers. I was also drafted by the mindfulness at work movement, and presented to the Food Inspection Agency last week. (I wasnāt originally there as a speaker)
My question to you would be.
What would you say made you evolve as a person the most in your life?
Well, I grew up in an abusive household and left when I was 17 years old and from then on I had to fend for myself. Back then I often had to starve myself for two weeks at a time so I could pay rent and have a roof over my head and at another point I was homeless, sleeping under a pine tree or bridge, and couch surfing when I could for a while.
That experience when I had nothing and had to rely on mostly myself because my sisters both ripped me off (my twin was actually the reason I became homeless), no family to rely on because I was adopted into a family that did not give a crap about me, and few friends that I could consider real friends - I had to evolve.
So I cut out a lot of people who were bad influences and kept the few that were good influences, put myself through school, found a full time job, and did a lot of growing up.
Iāll ask another question of someone else later because I am heading to the grocery store with my family and writing this in the car right now, but thanks phaseshifter for taking the time to answer my question and for your question.
Thatās quite an achievement.
Evillious, my next question is for you. Given how important first impressions are when we meet someone new, could you share with us one time where you or someone you met (or both) made a lasting first impression on you, good or bad and how that affected your relationship(s) with those involved?
I kind of missed this thread. Glad I saw it while bowsing it sounds like fun
So I wouldnāt mind being asked a question
Also @Foxblade I got a question for you.
How were you able to be so calm when I was losing my marbles when we were talking about KT?
Sure, I donāt use that word on these forums anymore as I was mass flagged for a word that was not offensive but the way I speak in life. Friendly forums.
Question @ everyone, whatās the first video game you ever played?
Youāve got to be joking.
Also Sonic 3 and knuckles
No joke, it was what the Blizzard admin cited, multiple complaints over me using the d word. So I do what Iām told and hardly use these forums after that.
I didnāt take anything you said personally and I saw that you were emotionally invested in your arguments. I also looked at myself and what I had said so I before I typed anything else, once I saw you getting a bit heated, I reread what I had typed before and felt like I could have said what I said a lot better and Iām pretty sure I did come off like an jackass, so I could see why you were getting upset.
Like it was one of those things that I didnāt see anything wrong with what I typed at the time I typed it but then when I saw you getting a bit upset, I reread it and I was like oh, I didnāt mean to come off like that, so I could have said that better and just tried to focus on trying to deescalate the situation and steer the discussion to be more productive.
Duck Hunt in 1985 on the NES. My second game was Super Mario Brothers, because the two games came together on the same cartridge.
Mario 64 or age of empires 2
That was a much longer response then I was expecting stilll thanks
As for the quetion floating around
My first game, I canāt remember eactly as when we got a PS2 we had like 4 or 5 games with it.
My fist game was either L.A Rush, ar acing game or Robotech Battlecry
Sidenote, the latter game is probably the only game to date whoās ending has brought me to tears. I felt so many emotions when I found out what was going on at the end.
bomberman when i was 15 month old. At least i donāt have older memory. Perhaps it was a yellow casette gameā¦
Iāll ask Kazma and Melke a question.
First Kazma, We face a lot of challenges in life that we learn to overcome, could you share with us what is the biggest challenge in your life that youāve had to face was and if/how you overcame that challenge?
Second Melke, in life I think that everyone experiences at least one strange person or phenomenon that sticks out in our memory for one reason or another. Could you share with us a story about a strange or unusual person and/or a thing that youāve experienced that really sticks out for you?
I figure that if youāre going to take the time to ask me a question, I will take the time to answer it as completely as I can.
