Voice chat anyone?

When voice chat first came out (with HL and TL still separate) I had close to 100% of matches with people in TL using voice chat.

And those matches were extremely fun, since many enemies were so coordinated it seemed like they too were using voice to line up skillshots, invade camps and start teamfights. It was nothing like playing a regular HL or QM game, it was like a chess game with very few deaths on both sides.

Now I never ever hear anyone using it, or people only invite you to a Discord.

Itā€™s sad because the game is on another level of intensity when you are with 4 trusted friends and can coordinate your actions together.

Iā€™ve played enough tf2 in pubs that I canā€™t stand voice chat unless with friends.

Becasuse i still want to keep my hearing the next couple of decades and not get it destroyed by some screaming idiot.

Well, it certainly hasnā€™t changed with the new spam bots that disabled text/voice chats for F2P players. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can see that any Voice Chat that will find to these heroes find something else to fight over.

English is taught in most schools in Europe, so the lang barrier is not the reason.

Matches in hots pretty fast comparing with the other MOBAs.
So thereā€™s no reason to reveal your voice to the people who will probably forget about you in 20-25 mins.

yeap  I like people who crunchy chips into the microphone too.

I once met Carbot through voice chat so that already makes it worth while.

The thing is there are much shprter matches than that like OW with 10 minutes.

But yet, people use VC frequently there.

Itā€™s not a length of the match, it seems like people have a such weird mindset of VC = bad as a toxic generator.

I had that happen to me too, but it was two guys grouped together, so a creepy group effort.

Itā€™s pretty rare though, most people arenā€™t ever brave enough to be abusive on voice. The worst is you get those who have a fan blowing right into their mic or kids screaming in the background, so you have to mute them.
