I have been having the same issue, but the Scan and Repair fixes it for me, which is a bit faster than the reinstall.

I just restarted the battlenet launcher and that fixed it, but I also only had it happen one time and have not tried playing since.

Good to know.

Something I have noticed is the “updating on exit” bug seems to have stopped, which may be contributing to the mismatch error (which may be an error on Battlenet side, not local error)

Ah damn I guess the four games I have installed is probably too much for my 2 terabyte SSD, sad

I 've been having the same issue.

Manually checking updates did not work for me. Scan & Repair did not work for me. What seemingly ended up working for me to resolve this issue was to switch to a different region from the battle.net launcher, then revert back to my original region I want to play on (NA), and finally after multiple attempts, this let me back into the game.

I’ve been having the client mismatch bug and I still get the patch loop bug. HeroesSwitcher.exe used to eliminate both issues, except when there was a new patch, now I’m forced to use the b.net client to avoid the mismatch.

I really don’t understand why they can’t fix this very persistent issue.

Thank you for posting this, it worked for me too.

I had this bug and fixed it by changing my password on Battlenet. I don’t know if that’s actually true or if it was just a coincidence, but I tried and failed launching the game three times, and it worked on a fourth after going into my account.

I’ve started having the mismatch bug recently. However, it only gets me when I have HotS in the background while browsing the internet. Almost as if HotS is throwing a tantrum for not having my attention.

So far, just staring intently at my screen like a creeper as the game loads keeps it at bay.

They’ll fix it with the blizcon 2026.

Rummy, do you change your preferred game server? I play on the USA server and “best match”, but switch to ANZ sometimes to play with friends there. So far, I only get the client mismatch bug, after switching servers.

Regions is America and Preferred server in game is Australia (although I don’t get in there)

Hum, then I guess this is just a new bug, I hope it doesn’t take 5 years to fix.

I do know I am no longer getting the update request when I leave game so I guess 1 step forward 2 steps backwards :stuck_out_tongue:

My version is showing as 2.55.10.93810 before loading game and getting mismatch, after a repair I am getting the same but works

Guess this is only a NA problem. I see none of this on EU.

I just had it happen again. It’s pretty random for me since this is only the second time.
