Meh, it’s not as sucky as Johanna’s or as volatile as Raynor’s and the questing component is perfectly fine even if you get only 100 stacks since the reward is still the same as the old version (2% bonus AA damage per hatred). Plus you don’t lose direct progression when you die, it just slows down your completion. Oh, and it scales well.

The top MMR Valla players on NA are using her AA build most of the time.

If I’m against Fan or Kylek777, I’d rather not see them on Valla, especially with the AA build. I’d deal with the W or Q build by taking armor, but Manticore couplet with AA speed and all just shreds me.
Plus, stats wise, it’s currently the strongest now.

But like not every player is fan. Its got the highest wr but its pickrate is still low. If you sort by lower ranks its the lowest wr. Hence the salt

Bad players don’t have good value out of it, that’s normal. But, I wouldn’t compare it to Convection. It’s terrible at my rank while Creed of the Hunter is a good one.

does he even play valla that well? He often takes medivh. I rarely see him play valla :o

You ban Medivh + Valla and you’re safe. He’s a bit rusty on Mephisto, but he used to crush on him. Anyhow.
If I find out I’m playing against fan I just alt tab, I’ve got better things to do then contribute to those losers making “entertainment” out of laughing at players who are obviously out of their depth.

as for kylekk I dont respect him too much. He just one tricks medivh like an idiot and throws completely winnable games. good for him for finding valla though.
fan is just a god among men. He can play whatever build and dominate. When hots lost its esports scene he lost all real competition. the other stats I knew about and made post anyways. Its viable and strong but the people who use it tend to be the worst of the worst. Kinda a good description of “valla” players bc everyone below masters thinks theyre a master valla player. You can tell right off the bat because they play too aggressively with no regard for their healer and their “phony” stutterstepping.
I don’t have to dominate to not feel like a loser, I just have to NOT be thrown into a depth that makes me feel like I might as well be the NPC in Skyrim, and playing against someone like Fan while he does his Bronze to GM “Challenge” in heavy quotes is one of those things.
Does that make sense?
I’m sure to you it does but I’m sure some other dingus on the forum is going to completely miss what I’m saying and go “Hurr durr it’s a learning experience hurr durr smurfing is actually good cus learning.”

I guess it’s a difference of perspective.
It’s not a matter of being made out to be a loser, it’s just a challenge to see how you measure up against a GM.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t enjoy being stomped in matches but if I knew I was playing against Fan, I definitely feel like it would be an excellent learning opportunity.

Man, I would absolutely love if Convection now also reduced the the cooldown of Flamestrike by 2 seconds, and instead of deaths removing all your Flamestrike stacks they instead just reduced that CDR by 0.5 seconds.
That would be absolutely dope, and also completely busted OP.
And Creed of the Hunter would be pretty bad if it didn’t give any bonus attack speed and you instead lost all stacks when you die…

Maybe the problem is not the build, but people who don’t really know how to position and stutter step?
I like the AA build if you face a lot of frontliners, cause you just shred them.
Q and W build won’t do much against a Tanks line up.
Since W build got nerfed several times. It’s not good anymore. It takes to long till you can do serious dmg. Also u have to play kind of a poke game. There are better heroes to poke out there.
Also AA is the only build, where you get value directly from your level 1 choice, because of the increased speed.
What a terrible comparison.

Exactly and when the patch in May or June came I always thought that this is could be potencially the strongest, but also the hardest, because it’s harder to constantly AA than just pressing W or a bit of aim with Q. I would even say the other builds are more successful, because they are good and easy. Difficulty is a factor.
It was nerfed, because it was easy and too good, but I think it is still good and balanced. You can still get easily the most hero damage above all by just hitting your W after 4.
All stacks lost within first 5 minutes… mind unchanged
