Valeera is broken. Need to remove her range which is pretty much almost ‘ranged’ and also the fact that she can do anything she wants is broken. the silence is broken. 4 second silence??? for anyone hero is broken, there is giving abilities to get the ‘upper hand’ then there are giving the abilities to just be OP and guarantee kills. when Valeera touches a squishy hero, 4 seconds is all it takes. if that’s the case then game is broken.
Samuro is broken, too. Going to all his images plus the speed he has plus the fact that he’s cloaked too? i played a game where it took all 5 of us to catch the right one, but he kept blinking around and that’s with a good Diablo throwing one around. just imagine if he had his team there. it would be over for us. broken broken broken.
these heroes just keep using their abilities on and off like the cool downs may not even be there. while every other hero can do a combo then they have to wait 10-15 seconds. these two broken heroes just go in come out and go back in.
Valeera currently has a 47.68% winrate on Heroes Profile. That is in the bottom 15 of all heroes. Filtering for Master, that goes up to 48.30%… but, she’s also the seventh lowest-winrate hero. Filtering for Bronze, she’s the 31st highest winrate, but with a winrate of 44.67%. Valeera is extremely underpowered.
I think you’re aproaching the game in the wrong way.
You have to play around team and objetives here (objetives aren’t only the shiny stuff of minimap tho), in this scenarios these heroes lose some value. There is a reason why ban and pick are a feature.
Now, with that said I don’t enjoy how counters work in this genre, in hots is even worst because you can’t be “feed”, so yeah that 0/5 Valeera gonna be a problem, doesn’t matter if you’re a 10/1 mage.
I understand why winrate is a important metric, but at the same time is a wrong aproach to design heroes.
The meme of Aurelion Sol came from this metric, very unpopular hero played by OTPs rised the winrate so it was nerfed; champions like Yone or the guy with kitty ears were so popular due their powerful toolkit that the winrate accounted bad players picking them and they were buffed. No idea about current LoL tho, so I can’t say if riot follow that metric too nowadays.
I get that the post isn’t serious or OP is very new, (there a worst stuff than vaalera that’s for sure) but at the same time it illustrates the real reason why people complain about certain heroes or comps; isn’t about winning/losing but about design, you can make a hero with only 1 ability that insta kill other hero and then play around with the cooldown/perks of the skill to make the winrate around 50%, but is clear the winrate isn’t the problem here.
On the other hand Valeera has no way to heal her self and is a melee hero. It can be near impossible for her to approach squishy heroes when fighting some comps and when she does reveal herself, under 4 seconds is all the enemy team needs to kill her.
Unlike Zeratul she does not have a teleport. She literally has to walk nearby enemy heroes before she can use her silence, stun or blind opening. If she walks stealthed then she runs the risk of being revealed by damage before reaching her victim. If she does not walk in stealthed and instead relies on comboing the stealth with he opener then she has to walk into melee range, all the time being focused fire at due to being a high damage, high priority hero.
AoE mages wreck this sort of Samuro play. The illusions cannot take much damage, and Samuro does not have the highest health either. Throw enough AoE damage at the area and he will quickly run out of life.
They both do have cooldowns. Without a specific talent pick the cooldown on Samuro’s mirror image and swap abilities is similar to most longer cooldown spam abilites. Valeera’s abilities have short cooldown, but if she spams them she quickly runs out of energy which greatly limits the rate she can cast them at.
I was showcasing that Valeera has a low winrate in all leagues.
For example, Medivh is the lowest winrate hero in the game at 42.48%, but filtering for Master only he’s at a healthy and respectable 52.89%. Valeera hardly budges no matter where you look.
